I know its other peoples opinions but some interesting comments about QPR.

I don't even consider QPR as our title rivals

Stanisgod - the pitch issues around Xmas are a thing of the past at Turf Moor.

http://www.dessosports.com/sports/football/football-projects/burnley-fc-turf-moo

The pitch is now a Desso GrassMaster surface (same as the Emirates amongst others) and our groundsman has been nominated for Groundsman of the Year for the last two seasons. There is a valid argument that the pitch is superior to the one at Loftus Rd.

Back to the topic in question, those comments on the ClaretsMad board were made after comments made by QPR fans on 'WearetheRangersBoys'.

EDIT - Beat me to it Andy!!

No, this is like Naked Lunch, I can't follow it at all.

So who is taking the piss out of who here?

Or do we all love each other?

I'm confused and concerned. What was once a top of the table clash to be cherished is now an existential nightmare.

You've ruined it for me. I hope you're all pleased with yourselves.

It's all the fault of Burnley fans for doing ironic threads.

More than that, it is their fault for going on the WATRB website. What kind of madness is that!?!?!

Once again the remedials on WATRB making all QPR fans look like tw@ts to other clubs. I hope Burnley stay right up in the mix, would be a great achievement.

Don't feel that long ago we went to Burnley on the opening day of the season and predictably lost 2-0 with Waddock in charge.

That was grim and and ensured long hard season what with admin looming like a black cloud and a limited squad about to sign Zesh Rehman as a marquee signing.

No one slated us then as we were easy pickings for most.

We should attack them. What better time to lay down a marker?

Do you really have to say "mong"? Crazily offensive to families where a member has Downs.

I'm with you Hoop - going to be a really interesting test and hoping our "prem quality" players will be suitably motivated by the occasion and take it to them.
Think the defence will be pee'd off over letting a couple in last week and some lovely stuff at the other end with Nico and Austin.

Never once heard a good friend of mine refer to his beautiful downs daughter as a ' mong '.

Don't see the connection and i can assure you the parents of downs children don't either.

Because, once upon a time, people with Down's were often called Mongoloids or Mongols, or Mongs.

It really isn't a very nice way to talk about people and I have to say that I was brought up to avoid such language based on the fact that those with mental or physical disabilities can't help their condition.

"There but for the Grace of God go I." A valid principle even though I am an atheist.
