Redknapp - even the press are beginning to turn 12:21 - Jan 12 with 1174 viewsrichranger

It seems that even some of Harry's media pals are beginning to turn against him.

This from the Guardian today:

'Redknapp offered the familiar blend of obfuscation, exaggeration and attempts to downplay expectations. “I have only got two strikers at the club,” he said, when asked about Adel Taarabt’s surprise recall. What about the debutant Mauro Zárate, borrowed from West Ham? “He’s a little No10,” came the retort. There is also Eduardo Vargas, who scored as a striker when Chile knocked Spain out of the World Cup, but Redknapp prefers to class him as a right-winger. A struggling side needs more than semantics.'

If Zarate is a "no.10" and can't play as a "striker" then why did you sign him, you stupid b*llsh*tting windbag?!

We've already got lots of no. 10ss: Adel, Fer, Mutch, Vargas, Niko...even Hoilett can play there!

If you think we need a "striker", then loan a striker, not a f*cking no.10!

The bloke is a clown and a b*llsh*tter of the highest order.

By any reasonable standard, Redknapp has done a bad job at QPR. He joined them in November 2012 when they were winless and bottom of the table, but he had 25 games and a transfer window (in which he bought Christopher Samba for 12.5 million pounds from Anzhi Makhachkala, in his view one of the top four defenders in the world at the time) to affect change, but he did not. Promotion to the Premier League via the playoffs last season was the absolute minimum QPR could've expected given the investment in an already strong squad at that level, and that was only just achieved. Now, they appear to be sleepwalking toward the drop again.

Very ard to get the right sort, innit? Especially with this new rule that you can only sign centre backs and No.10s/attacking midfielders. He didn't want to sign Mutch, Fer, Zarate, Krancjar, Vargas but what can he do? Those are the rules.

EDIT: have checked and apparently there is no such rule preventing clubs from actually making the signings that they need. Learn something new every day. If anyone from the club is reading this, please spread the word.
