West Ham tix 23:20 - Jan 5 with 1991 viewsstainrods_elbow

As I'll unusually be in the UK for our FA Cup exit, sorry game, at the 'Ammers, I was wondering whether anyone who doesn't have me on 'ignore' had a spare ticket (and ideally two) that are surplus to requirements. Will be happy to throw in a generous tip on top of the price paid. Positive PMs greatly welcomed.

Thanks all.

Well, this is a surprise!

Did you not write that you wouldn't go to this game even if tickets were 10p?

I thought everyone who was going to this was a "mug"?
Hard to believe this isn't a bit at this point.

I don't think I ever excluded myself from the idea that all fans are mugs, Northern. I'm a fan, so it has to follow. It's not a paradox, by the way. It's a flagrant, sickening contradiction - and (here's the newsflash) I'm a contradiction too. There's no therapy for it. That's what fan love is, what I am. It's not healthy.

Anyway, thank god for the non-contradictory, shadowless, sorted ones, looking down from a hooped Olympus on little men like me. I am un/worthy.

"If the tickets were 10p, I wouldn't be going. Exactly why should I again? I saw Rangers at Wembley in 1982, and I wouldn't lower myself to the current attitude to the F A Cup.

"For posters willing to engage with my point, I'd have the same attitude if I was a season ticket holder again living on the Goldhawk Road. To put it another way, just because I'm a fan doesn't make me a mug."

That actually made me chortle. Reminds me of the great David Shrigley.

Your forensic need to hold me to standards of scrupulous consistency you don't apply to anyone else on something as inconsequential as a football message board is strangely touching in the end, Northern - not least because I'm sure you don't intend it to be.

See my previous reply. If it's rationality thou seekst from a football fan - especially this one - I don't what to tell you. In the end, we all succumb to absurdity - it's just that some are too po-faced to see it.

If I had a spare I would rather eat it than sell to somebody whose desire to patronise, insult and belittle others knows no bounds.

As should be manifestly clear to any lucid lukewarm half living corpse, it would be intractably non-cogent for you to eat your hypothetically spare West Ham tix - they're digital, innit.

If the tickets were 10p, I wouldn't be going (Unless I found myself in London on the day of the match, in which case I would offer to pay above face value). Exactly why should I again? I saw Rangers at Wembley in 1982, and I wouldn't lower myself to the current attitude to the F A Cup (Unless I found myself in London on the day of the match, in which case I'd try a get hold of a ticket)

For posters willing to engage with my point, I'd have the same attitude if I was a season ticket holder again living on the Goldhawk Road (well between me and you, I probably wouldn't). To put it another way, just because I'm a fan doesn't make me a mug. ๐Ÿ˜€

I for one hope he gets a ticket regardless of his consistant typing on JS mostly negative but its a message opinion board and we are all QPR.
I would love to get a ticket to any QPR game wander in and sit down amoung the regulars on here and shoot the breeze.
Chat about us and LFW but never disclose my poster ID and hope nobody cuts me to ribbons not knowing its really me.Nobody knows what any of us look like right

Pretty sure he only applies it to you because you're by far the most antagonistic and contrarian person in this community. You're even aware of how many people have you muted and seem to wear it like a badge of honour lol

Take the hint fella.

So Elbow gets a ticket, goes to the game

we lose,
We lose heavily like at Leicester,
We play a weakened team.
A player has a poor game,
Blah, blah ,blah etc.
Even if something else happens

The message board then gets subjugated to a stupefying ridiculous amounts of new threads followed with numerous cantankerous replies by the author.

Maybe heโ€™s found Jesus.

Look I'm just going to lock this.

I'm pretty sure it was a wind up in the first place, it's got the reaction it wanted, it's only going one way i.e. a pile on followed by eight paragraphs of whimsical nonsense about playing the man not the ball topped off with 'thank you to the kind person who DMd me with two free tickets'.

If you're daft enough to do so then DM him but I'd also point out that Charlie from Talking Rangers is looking for one, Jack Supple who does all our stats for us, and the lads at the W12 Podcast are also in need. They can be contact via Twitter or via me.

As is the guy who comes with his lad from Falmouth to every game...
