We've done it again haven't we? 10:50 - Apr 17 with 923 viewsloftboy

Just heard on Ssn that a year in the pl followed by immediate relegation is now worth a minimum 140 million, last time we went down we missed out on the big money now we are going to do it again, 300% increase in tv revenue next season apparently.

We would have just wasted it on over the hill 'stars'

The good thing about going down is that the owners will have to set their sights much lower and thats good. Rather than go for a supposed quick win , supposedly proven 'star' (Ferdinand, SWP, Bosingwa to name but a few) and paying them 50K a week or more, they must now scout properly for younger, less proven but with massive potential 'stars' of the future. A Townsend type?

It will be harder to do but infinitely cheaper.

From now on, anyone new to the club I would have a performance related wage structure. Maybe a max of £10K a week, But for every win, its doubled. For every goal another £5K, for every MOTM £5K and so on.

Exactly... all that extra money would just go into players and agents pockets. The club itself, fans etc would see fk all so are we really losing out?

Oh God.

"It will be hard but infinitely cheaper."

Ok, but how are we going to do this? Do the current owners have a strategy against 'unwanted' contracts?
