Best get used to these English cheeses as none other than Loft lurking Gove seems ready to call in Air Strikes against the dairy producers of Brie, Gouda, Edams and a particular venom for that Italian muck that seeks to usurp our very own, finest Stilton....

It's a very poor list, and I strongly recommend both an apple oak aged Cheddar from Sussex, and another known as Black Bomber that makes your gums smart. Enjoy those Euro cheeses whilst you still can, Gove's got them in his myopic sights.

Over to you.

Dont quote me but I suspect Stilton. Whenever I request Stilton at the Butchers they shove Gorgonzola forwards.

I do like a bit of Gorgonzola. But Roquefort tops it for me.

Its all very well these English cheeses but I was in Sweden last month and tried a cheese called Vasterbotten. It was immense. Need to find some of that for the Christmas cheese board this year.

Manchago ? not sure how you spell it but it's great with beer and it's made where you are Brighton.

Manchagos brilliant. Sheeps milk cheese which the Spanish buy in huge quantities but not safe if you're pregnant, so I should be ok haha

Cantabrian soft cheese too, delish with the local cider, and one from Asturias, its name escapes me. The Spanish get the bagpipes out like the Scots pipe in the Haggis. Awful row, but bloody great cheese.

It's Spanish Mel. A girl I work with lives in the same place it's made.
Merry Xmas by the way

Try Ikea Aston? Dont know if the UK Ikeas are the same but the ones here now have pretty good Swedish food halls.
