Birmingham were already out of the cup so they've had all week to prepare for the game. Same goes for our XI from Saturday - we'd have effectively lost three days of preparation had we played a stronger side last night. I can see the case for resting the whole XI better than changing say 8 or 9, but I'd still rather play the full side in cup games where possible. |  | | |
