Just got around to last week's. Marc Pugh comes over as a really honest pro. Obviously using us to extend his career, whilst remaining living in Bournemouth, but putting in a 100% effort in and out of the team.

Clive have you and the guys got together, on the phone, this weekend for the next one? If not we should do threads on some of the ideas put forward.

Having thoroughly enjoyed the Jamie Mackie Liverpool experience, I sat down to watch this one yesterday.

My god, what a fast paced frantic match this was. Non stop entertainment throughout!
I won't say too much else as I don't want to spoil it for anyone BUT if you can sit down at watch it before they take it down.
If you drive to home games then be aware this may affect you from 2021.

ULEZ zone are you registered?

Living approx 100 miles from our spiritual home, Mrs FB and me drive to matches and sometimes to other events in London but usually outside the current ULEZ/congestion charge zone.

My elder daughter has just move to a flat share in East London and works for a hotel company. She had booked a room for us, at a family rate, near Kensington Gardens. So after the last home game we drove to the accommodation, my wife checked in while I sat in the car and we then drove across London to the Docklands area.

Last year, I found out that the Mayor is planning to extend the ULEZ zone out to the North and South Circular Roads, I thought this year but apparently it is next year 2021. This was one of the factors in making me decide to change my car. So I part exchanged my 2012 diesel, which I knew wouldn't comply, for a 2016 model that I checked would.

Yesterday, opening the mail I found a ULEZ penalty notice with a 'fine' of £88. It said my vehicle was non compliant. I entered my reg into the TFL site and it agreed with the letter. So a couple of hours research followed with me finding out all the emissions data for my vehicle and then trying to find out what the level/ standards are for meeting the ULEZ requirements. Not an easy task as my V5 gives the actual levels but doesn't mention 'Euro 6', the ULEZ standard and when I looked it up on the DVLA site it said not available. The TFL site just mentions 'Euro 6'.

Mrs FB bought me a registration plate with URS on it for my birthday a few years ago which I had transferred onto my replacement vehicle last year. She decided to enter the original registration into the DVLA site and lo and behold my vehicle complies!

So it seems that even though the records are up to date at the DVLA they are not at TFL.

So I have submitted my appeal and wait to hear.

On the Blues Powered Sunday Brunch show, listeners were asked to pick there favourite from a long list of artists from the 'early' days of Blues through to the present Blues or Blues Rock musicians.

The top ten included
10. Joanne Shaw Taylor
8. Jimi Hendrix
6. Eric Clapton
5. Walter Trout
4. Stevie Ray Vaughn
3. Gary Moore
2. Joe Bonamassa

and at number 1 with a winning margin of over a hundred votes

I was surprised that people have voted for what I see as the lesser commercial artists with Clapton and Hendrix out of the top five and Free as well as Led Zeppelin not even featuring.

Delighted at the result though with Rory being remembered in this way, with the 25th anniversary of his death coming up next year. Absolutely amazed that he beat the current and excellent Bonamassa.
