Your Queens Park Rangers v Norwich City Match Reports

Rangers just about deserved the point, but there were passages of play
where Norwich moved the ball better than us and after they took the lead I didn't see us getting back into it.

It's the new boys what won it! Anderson looks as though he can add crossing and passing to the team, Frey got at least one good flick on although I thought there might have been a touch of good fortune about the finish. Hayden was strong and effective throughout, Hodge lively early on. Hayden's performance raises questions about whether Field will get back in the team. A midfield of Hayden, Hodge and Colback looks our best option.

At the back JCS was superb again, although I haven't seen replays of the goals we conceded. Sloppy for the first and I think Cannon should have done better for the second, although the wide player had acres of space for the cross.

And eventually Southampton did what we required. Still nail bitingly tight at the bottom, but we're good enough to escape.

Geoff78's report is how I saw it.
We did concede soft goals, but kept going and a bit of quality snatched a good point.
Encouraging, now we have to keep building on it.

Really good high quality game. We just edged the first half with Norwich bossing the second and looking most likely to get a winner so overall a very good point. Hayden, Colbeck and JCS fighting it out for MOM. We gave it to Hayden on the way home.

Another massive game Wednesday and yet another chance to get above the dotted line. We have wasted the last few we have had so law of averages and all that.

Not much to add to the other reviewers except I thought for long periods we played way to deep; Marti frantically waving forward on the touchline.

Also don't get this All 11 Back for conceded corners; Armstrong left up with Chair on 35 yds would have kept 3 Norwich back, 4 with the keeper, corner- taker makes 5 so only 6 against nine defenders. |Better odds and more chance of retrieving possession

I agree with Royboy but think this charge was in response to conceding too often from corners. I assume the more bodies in the box, even if they are opposition bodies the more likely a shot gets blocked.
