Marvelous.

Hard working press and set pieces. Our recipe for success.

I still can't stretch to the idea that we were just a Dunne and Field away from overturning a minus 4 goal deficit against a Premier League team.
If I remember rightly some posters were complaining we were playing a weakened defence because Ronnie was starting!!

Agree on both points.

Nardi is fine playing shortish on the deck but his longer passes are very inconsistent.

Well done and thank you Clive for just getting it out there and still making it entertaining. Motivation can't have been easy, genuinely wouldn't have blamed you for just not bothering. Soccer Aid and Olly Murs made me lol in a very inappropriate environment!

Dembele has had a free ride this season
at 09:39 5 Apr 2025

His quality was clear early on. Can beat a player on either side, can actually see and deliver a pass (remember the run and through ball to put Frey in for a goal at the school end? Do you know how a good a through ball has to be that it puts Frey in behind the defender!?)

He gets a terrible injury, comes back into a team that is pretty clueless/aimless with the ball and lacks any discernible patterns or cohesion, mostly as a late sub, playing various positions in an unsettled side without many players around him he can interplay with and the OP wants to coat him off and compare him to Madsen.

F**k me, he's young, he's ours, he's got great footballing ability (something we severely lack) and years to improve.

Why on earth do you want to start a thread to make sure he doesn't 'escape criticism'?

Terrible show. But on the positive side, although it doesn't feel like it we won't play that badly every game for the rest of the season. We can't...surely? It's the Championship, we'll High Press and Jimmy Dunne Forehead our way to a couple of wins.

Only highlight for me today was being called negative and nasty by Stainrod's Elbow, which is akin Joey Barton calling you 'a bit of a c*nt'. Fun!

I've tried to be as reasonable, calm, non reactionary, pleasant, fair and unhypocritical as you, but it just didn't work for me.

Question is, why was he 5 yards behind his man in the most dangerous part of the pitch to start with?

Looking for the comedy, the Radio Stoke commentator said Madsen coming on provided a 'big physical presence'. Cue literally one minute later Madsen hitting the deck looking for the whistle leaving Stoke to break clear and score.

He's gonna grab the game by the scruff of the neck and run things.

A performance that certainly backs up lots of posters and Clive (I think) thinking that Marti is off at the end of the season. Combine that with over half that starting team not being here next year and you can see why there's not that full effort, passion, togetherness and just good old giving a fu*k that a team with our limited talents needs to even compete at this level.

Have to say again though what is with the 'offensive gameplan'? Pass backwards and sideways. On the odd occasion you may find yourself with the ball beyond a few opposition players make sure to pass it backwards quickly without trying anything skillfull or inventive that might progress us up the pitch even further, ensuring that all 11 of the oppo can get between us and their goal again. Repeat until you lose the ball in a dangerous position or Fox is forced into a rushed aimless punt upfield a mile from any Ranger's player.

Criminal from the long aimless boot up the pitch with no Rangers player within 20 yards to the ease that they moved upfield and got into the danger area.

Worst half of the season for me.

Anderson is, objectively, a waste of space.

Fu*k me. I know we've got injuries but Marti's had 2 weeks to prepare for this. Our plan(as far too often) is pass among yourselves at the back, don't try anything progressive and whatever you do don't move intelligently off the ball to provide someone to pass to. I just don't get it.

There's on the beach early and then there's Paal and Andersen. They are genuinely taking the pics. Every attack down that side has led to them being nowhere near their men or the ball. Having an absolute fu*king laugh. Terrible.

Very sad to hear this.
Shared some lovely DM's with Gareth on the state of the world back in the day. I enjoyed his out of the box thinking and natural couldn't give a fu*k stance.

Go well brother. Peace. X

Nice video.

Worth noting that he, just like Eze and Kolli name checks Chris Ramsey as a reason for being/staying at QPR.

Plenty of us like to coat Ramsey off but he clearly made some big contributions while he was here.

Eze has saved us financially once (maybe again this Summer) and Kolli and Emerson seem to have potential to be other decent sales in the future. It's possible none of that happens without Ramsey here.

True but I'm not sure Marti's had the chance to impose the (attacking) style that bigger clubs might be drawn to.
