Seven teams going for four spots now. Shame Oldham didn’t get a point at Southend, keeping a three point gap between Dale and those outside the top seven. Currently: Oldham 66 Halifax 63 Dale 60 Gateshead 60 ——— Southend 59 Altrincham 57 Tamworth 57 All teams have played 40 games, apart from us who have two in hand. With 4th/5th being the sides getting a home tie in the playoffs, those slots are now up for grabs as well all of a sudden. Of particular interest looking at the fixtures, the final day has Gateshead v Southend and Altrincham v Tamworth. |

Here’s a trade off we’d probably all take: Dale to drop to 12th if Sutton, Hartlepool, Southend and Solihull Moors all win tomorrow night. We’d prefer the last two not to get three points but if it means a chaos theory win in the main, it’s actually a decent set of results. [Post edited 17 Feb 17:40]

If we’ve spent thousands on them, is it so hard to store them somewhere other than along the touchline so that players are trampling all over them in boots to get the ball? There’s a whole stand there that isn’t being used and leaving them where they are can’t be the best way of ensuring they remain in top condition. If nothing else, they are in front of advertising boards that companies have paid good money for. |

Two consecutive 90th minute winners for two different clubs (Wycombe and Bolton) against the same team (Exeter). All in the last four days. |

Apart from the shocking defending for their goal where we allowed them four attempts before scoring, it’s been a really good performance without the scoreline to match. Plenty of shots, unlucky at times and some poor choices (Rodney not squaring after going round the keeper). We are noticeably looking to go direct when required and it’s making a massive difference. Playing with impetus, we don’t ask for much. |

Even though it’s finished. Big pressure on McNulty and his team to get two positive results before Christmas. The amount of teams bunched together who look to be going for two playoff spots is growing. Top five keep pulling away. Not seen anything today, but those subs all seem way too late. When we’ve a squad with so many options you have to be utilising them earlier in tight games. |
 | Forum Thread | AGM change at 20:28 13 Nov 2024
As reported in the latest Trust newsletter, the following came up during the last meeting between the club and the Trust: https://www.daletrust.co.uk/november-2024-news-letter/ “Simon opened the meeting by providing an update on future changes to the format of AGM’s. This will comprise a corporate/business agenda only to meet the essential requirements of an AGM, rather than in the past, incorporating a fans forum element, available to shareholders only. A Fans Forum will take place, at a date following the AGM, attendance to which will be open to a wider audience than shareholders only.” This was raised at the Trust AGM last weekend, and reported as follows: https://www.daletrust.co.uk/2024/11/trust-2024-agm/ “ Reference was made to the statement made by the Club regarding the new format of future AGMs, without the opportunity of a forum taking place once AGM business is concluded. A date for a Fans Forum will closely follow the AGM to allow participation to include all fans, and not limited to shareholders.” That appears to re-report what we already knew. It was raised to establish with a concern that removing the forum part of the AGM may discourage the attendance of shareholders on the night, who may believe they wouldn’t get a chance to raise questions. It was also noted that any AGM with an ‘AOB’ section (like the Trust one) would allow those questions to be asked anyway, so it just needed establishing why there was a need to remove the “forum element” of an AGM for the shareholders who have, in the past, played a massive role in securing the future of the club. Playing in white. No team changes at home more than us. And some people think our style of play is the biggest problem. |

There isn’t one. So in the absence of that, some examples of clubs everywhere not adhering to the old mantra of “get rid” when under pressure. Feel free to add as the season goes on. As well as Mitchell’s goal yesterday, here’s one from Huddersfield v Northampton: Nothing will change in the short term, but there will come a day when the game will realise how much it’s impacting success. |

https://www.daletrust.co.uk/2024/09/commercial-focus-group-thursday-26-9-2024/ Very disappointing this will take place on Teams. Having attended others using this format it is very limited with respect to encouraging interaction with the wider fanbase. The attendance at the last kit focus group meeting using this format was also very low. It should have been enough for anyone present from the Trust and the club to realise that it was an ineffective method to create better engagement with a larger cross section of fans. |

4 at the back or Senior as RWB? Allarakhia in a more forward role? |

Win, lose or draw, it’s hoped the manager is asked about the specific choices he makes in personnel so we gain an understanding around selections like Armstrong coming in for the impressive so far Beckwith. |
