Worrying signs and muddled thinking - Knee Jerks
at 14:39:56

I agree Sylla should be a nailed on starter. Olly needs to make the best decisions for the good of the club, not to save face. Sylla is by far and away the best goal scorer at the club, Olly has always had an issue with him and rather stupidly openly aired this last sesson and due to this seemingly can't bring himself to play him.
Our two best performances this season Wolves and Sheffield Utd coincide with a Sylla start. He stretches the defence makes the defenders work and worry, allowing others into the game.
Olly needs to explain what the use of a "runs around a lot' Washington actually brings to the game plan? No real goal threat, we don't keep clean sheets so that can't be the reason, he is an easy ride for the defenders!
Have yet to see Smith have a decent game when he starts, he is effective as a sub but no more.
With Mackie, Smith, Washington starting there is no goal scorer between them and the best you can hope for is a draw, concede and we are chasing games.
I counted 3 times in the first half yesterday, where one of our central midfielders after some intricate play, were in a position to thread a ball through for a striker to run on to. They looked up seen Smith in front of them, made the decision he didn't stand a cat in hells chance of getting it, so turned back and the opportunity disappeared.
You cannot play 3 /4 central midfielders who like to play it tight and to feet, with a lump like Smith in front of them, he needs wingers, the central 3/4 need speed of feet and thought in front of them!
If Holloway and the team who surround him can't see this they are out of their depth!! If they know it and won't play square pegs in square holes they are negligent to all of us!! Someone in that inner circle need to speak out and sort it out before it is too late!!
