Charlie Kelman’s Leyton Orient

26 games for QPR 0 goals across 3 seasons

It has been covered here his total minutes add up to about 4 games

Ok, let me check - so for QPR:

Season 2020/21 - 11 games 0 goals, 1 start, 146 minutes played
Season 2021/22 - 1 game 0 goal, 0 start, 5 minutes
Season 2023/24 - 11 games 0 goals, 3 starts, 241 minutes
3 seasons - 26 games 0 goals 0 assist, 4 starts, 392 minutes played

Which worked out Kelman played about 4.3 full games in his 26 appearances for the club.

So, what chance had he got to really prove his worth for QPR?

Kone was going for like £7 m before Wycombe pulled the plug?

Really depends on the length of his contract

If he goes for 200-300k means we know he would soon be gone for free. If the club seeks 2-3 m then perhaps a year left with another year option? (Fat hope - we know we are not allowed nice things / if we are Bristol city he would be gone for at least 5 m to another champ club)

In any case, he should really be given a real chance, not 10 consecutive 10-minutes bite-part sub games.

Perhaps he wanted to stay? Maybe that’s why he signed an extension? And the plan was to be loaned out to prove his worth in a league below with consistent first team games, not unlike chair, Eze, Dieng loans, maybe?

Kelman now top scorer in league 1 with 19 goals

Our 350k* striker is one up on a £15 m striker

And what happened to Dykes?

Am looking forward to tomorrow's game as not worried about relegation anymore...

If we think we are safe and be complacent, I think that’s a problem with our mentality

maybe it’s the fans whom at one point when we were 15 points clear of the relegation zone thought we did enough for the season but rolled on 10 games we found ourselves sucked into a relegation struggle.

I hope this is not how our players behaved, they should always give importance to the next match even if it means “nothing” but to play honestly and truthfully even just for the fans pleasure

Nice, something to shout about, other than our season!

Kelman, if he’s not our player, how much would you have offered to a league one club? Say a couple of million pounds as suggested by Gallen in the WLS podcast

So rightly, returning from loan after a successful spell Kelman should be given a proper chance next season he rightfully deserved

But, if we do sell him, it should be £2 m no less, rightly

It is not right, but his tackle compared to that of Saito’s is only deemed a yellow?

A friendly reminder that we are currently 15th, but 24th in the form table, and every team below us to 24th has won at least once in their last five whilst we have one point last 5 games

It beats me how that’s not something to worry

Hamburg (57,000) and Koln (50,000) or Kaiserslautern (49,780) may replace Holstein Kiel (15,000), Bochum (26,000) or Heidenheim (15,000) - taking current league standing

League one current top scorers

Richard Kone, Wycombe 18
Jay Stansfield, Birmingham 16
Charlie Kelman, Orient 15
Louie Barry, Stockport 15

What valuation do you think Kelman is compared to them?

This must be his watershed season just like chair at Stevenage or Dieng at Doncaster or Eze at Wycombe

Next season must surely be his last season to prove his worth at QPR

With his league form and goals surely warrant a serious relook

How about a 16500 stadium (15,000 + 1,500 away fans), more corporate facilities, no restricted views, better toilets, no digging down - by refurbishing Loftus Road within current footprint?

Isn’t this more realistic than moving the club?

Calling him “yin” is not polite but I know you said in that in jest, it can be deemed rude and I’ll rather be called “the Korean” if I am a Korean ;)

Granted the Celtic-Rangers hegemony in Scottish football, but Queen’s Park is decent in the second tier, it’s not like they are non-league, or for the matter-of-fact, a la Vauxhall Motors giant killing spree of another rangers team

Queen's Park's victory over Rangers is likened to, I quote : "Queen's Park provided one of the biggest shocks in Scottish Cup history by defeating Rangers one nil at Ibrox to advance to the quarter finals" on their own website queensparkfc.co.uk

Not quite?

- They play in the Championship - second tier of Scottish football
- They are currently 5th, just a place outside the Premiership play-off qualification slots
- They turned professional in 2019

Certainly a shock win.
But definitely not "one of the biggest shocks in Scottish Cup history"!

penalty in the lead-up to Colback's goal?

The alleged handball by Lloyd just before Yang’s penalty claim leading to Colback’s winner demonstrated enough we did got something (the winner! 3 points) from the ref(‘s decisions). No?

I hope it is win-win situation come what may

If he goes, he gets big money move, plays in the PL next season, we get a nice compensation and before the window shuts use the fund to get a decent right back

If he stays, he continues his great form and no hard feelings for the club and may our form pick up again to push for playoffs

As I said, I hope
