Derby sack Keogh
at 22:32 31 Oct 2019

I'm not sure. The situation with the other two employees could amount to age discrimination. Also he did not make himself unable to fulfil his contractual obligations by getting into a car. It would have been different if he was driving.
Main thing is, and this is entirely a point of pedantic semantics, we are not looking at constructive dismissal (where the actions of the club such as making him train with the U23 push him to quit) but at unfair dismissal.

QPR speak to Holloway (WLS)

I know Redknapp didn't get sniffed, but I'm pretty sure his dog got sniffed all the time.

Isn't that part of what QPR in the community does?

Advice for a newbie - new to qpr
at 19:22 14 Aug 2016

Looking to get away from the stresses of life for the stresses of QPR? Seems like a good trade-off.
Anyway, the Lower Loft is the family stand, you can only get in if you are with an under-16, so should be what you're looking for. When you're on your own, any other seat will do, unless you get a seat directly behind one of the pillars. For a one-off, just ring the box office; if you plan to come every now and again, get a membership (you get first dibs, a discount on every ticket, a few goodies that may be of enjoyment to your daughter).

England v Russia fighting. Sounds nasty
at 19:49 11 Jun 2016

My thought as an outsider on English fans: they travel around Europe getting drunk and thinking they're in the seventies, when they were feared and other supporters used to run in fear. Only now the Russians, the Turkish, the Germans or whoever are not running anymore; they are organised, violent, ruthless, armed and probably pumped on coke. And they find these groups of drunk English, the majority of which runs away, while small minorities think it's worth fighting in the streets of France. But they're drunk, the others are not.

It's been like that for a while now, from Istanbul to Rome to Paris, you always get a few English fans stabbed.

Whatever happened to Steven Caulker
at 22:06 5 May 2016

Does anyone know what happened to the poor Steven? From back-up striker to car park monitor? He is not even making the bench and Liverpool are playing with Kolo Toure! Surely he is injured?

Yeah but none where they told you to renew by the end of March or lose your seat and pay 30% more. That would make it £570 for me rather than £450 -quite a hefty price for a championship mid-table lot of donkeys.

But that's exactly the point. In the conference or as a bricklayer he wouldn't be a role model. As a footballer, being paid 50k per week after being convicted for a sexual offence would pass the message that fame buys you the right to do everything.

Queens Park Rangers have received a £6million offer from Middlesbrough

Do we really need to replace him with someone? We've got Mackie, Holiett, Petrasso, Chery, Yun, Gladwin (we can always call him back, he'd enjoy that) and apparently Henry and Fer (if you trust the former managers who put them there) to cover that role.

Oktoberfest
at 15:03 6 Sep 2015

Been there, very touristy for sure but great beer and great food. I love Augustiner. Speaking with some German friends, if you want the real Oktoberfest spirit, just drive a few miles out of Munich and enjoy even greater beer and great atmosphere at the Oktoberfests in the Bavarian towns.

The two articles are identical, with the same points made in the same order, with some quotes just copy-pasted and with pictures of Charlie wearing the same (ugly) shirt!!! How does it work in modern journalism, do you arrange a group interview or is one of the two journos about to get the boot for blatant plagiarism?

I read that as "at least" making the playoffs, makes sense this way.

Transfer Deadline Day Thread.
at 13:57 1 Sep 2015

best rumour possible for us in the Guardian:

QPR are looking to shift Junior Hoilett ... and word is Swansea might make their wish come true. And that, surely, is beyond Hoillet’s wildest dreams, given how he’s performed at Loftus Road. Mind you, there’s definitely talent there and if there is one top club that has proven its ability to get the best out of players, it’s canny Swansea.
