The insistence of importing rather than using our own oil and gas is a great example how the preaching, patronising so called progressives make decisions based on what they think is right rather than on what is best for everyone.

We would be in a more secure position if we produced our own gas and oil from the North Sea rather than importing it during the transition to clean energy. We would also have a lot of people employed.
This argument has been made for years without anyone being able to come up with a strong argument against producing our own oil and gas when we need it.

Yes, take away the oppressive regime and all the lawless opportunists come out of hiding. To he history of the whole region is characterised by religious and tribal conflicts over thousands of years and westerners think they can fix it.
It makes me laugh out loud when Trump says 'surrender or die' because the extremists will prefer to die.
