So we are judging the new guy after his first 2 games against 2 terrible sides. Southgateās first 2 results were 2-0 win over Malta and 0-0 with Slovenia. Or when he got the job permanently 2-2 with Scotland and 2-0 vs Lithuania. Personally Iāll judge Tuchel after the performance at World Cup. |

Everything you say above is completely fair. Your comments on his paranoia about communication are in my view also spot on. What I took issue with was your earlier post where you called him a 25 year old public school boy. I genuinely donāt see why his age or background matters. Also if noses are put out of jointā¦.im sorry but who cares. People have underperformed at the club on football side. They may have great experience but results would say they are not doing a good job. Personally im surprised there wasnāt a bigger cull. |

Heās definitely good enough to start but you canāt go into the season with him pencilled in as the starter due to injury record. Thatās why Iād just be open with him and say, his role would be much reduced but important and so reduced wages. |
 | Forum Reply | The Ginger ninja. at 15:50 17 Mar 2025
Difficult to get him to agree pay as you play if heās a back-up though. |
 | Forum Reply | The Ginger ninja. at 15:26 17 Mar 2025
Sorry to jump in here but I was also of view that we shouldnāt give him a new deal. But doesnāt it come down to wages and whether heād be happy for more of a back-up role in the squad. Isnāt he a perfect to bring on to see games out and to occasionally start when we have injuries and suspensions? I canāt remember the games now but he has come on and done that role very well in games this season. We cannot have him next season as a starting role but I think as cover heād be goodā¦ā¦wages dependent of course. |

Iād say itās completely the opposite. Thereās a group that love to bring Nourry into any argument that becomes negative about the club. But anyway, what is true is that whatever side of fence or if you sit in the middle, nothing anyone says on here is going to change your view. |

Based purely on results, Iām not sure some of the so-called experienced members of our football staff should be quite so precious. All areas of our football club has underperformed. Maybe some of them should look in the mirror. |

Think youāll go crazy if you read too much into certain comments, body language etc. Weāll find out in summer whether Marti is happy. I donāt expect the CEO, owners and football management to all get on. They all have different priorities. They just need to work together. I would say Marti seems happier than in October but thatās probably because weāre mid table and not bottom |

Well he was pretty much an ever present (I think?) in our good run and heās been missing for last 2, not to mention derby away, Portsmouth home and Hull home. So just on results heās a huge loss. Another reason Iād bring in Morrison, heās got a great record when he plays. |

When thereās no update like this, I imagine Varane injury is worse than they told us. Hopefully Edwards will move into midfield and please for the love of god, start Morrison |

Iād see it more, they go 2 up and relax a bit. We then score one and they step up. Look at how games panned out after we scored. |
 | Forum Reply | The Boro Match thread. at 13:19 12 Mar 2025
We can moan about him not passing forwards but last 2 games have shown how important it is for us to have Varane in that holding /defensive role in front of the back 4. The best performances that I have watched this season have been with him in it and Iād say the worst have been with him not in side. |
 | Forum Reply | Morning after....rant! at 13:07 12 Mar 2025
The most annoying thing for me is Morrison not playing and to a lesser extent Madsen. We are not playing great and weāre in poor form. We may as well then give game time to players that are our players and players that most definitely need game time. I donāt understand it. Marti has been brilliant for us, but that is 100% on him. |
 | Forum Reply | Sheffield United Reflection at 15:18 2 Mar 2025
I think you need to have a player like that in the side. I think we need to look for the players round to him to bring more to our attacking play. Varaneās job is to be the defensive shield. |

Well to start with Hitler and Stalin had a pact and decided to carve up Poland. So, Russia sided with Hitler. Poland lost 1/5 of its entire population either on battlefield against Nazis and Soviets, or in the Gas Chambers or just massacred, or one time while the āred armyā decided to halt for a bit while they let the Nazis ādealā with the Poles in the Warsaw uprising. The Soviets than made Poland a state of the Soviet Union. Stalin and Hitler, just different sides to the same coin. |

Ok, I didnāt realize Armstrong and Dykes was that much. But what you say does make sense. I would add that Dembele must be in the 4.3m outflow as he became permanent in 2024 before firing accounts. Itās odd that Dembele isnāt mentioned though. The contingent part is confusing but also important because if say Dykes and Armstrong were 1m combined now and rest was contingent on eg promotion, then 5.3m doesnāt sound so bad. Someone has probably asked this, but can you ask what the FFP estimated headroom is? Thanks Iām over-simplifying because I always look at cash but seems that weāve gone from 32m outflow before shareholders put up cash in prior year to 18m. Thatās a significant improvement. Staff down by 13 but imagine that will be even lower given departures in summer. |

How do you get to Ā£9m? The post balance sheet note says net outflow of 4.3m? And the contingent part (I guess Dembeleā¦maybe Saito?) was 1.66m? The only players we got money in from were Dykes and Armstrong based on the same note. I would imagine there must be some contingent payment for Armstrong. |
