I think if the prosecution lose then we pay but I think if they win, then the defendant (Kerr / Chelsea) would have to pay all costs.

Playoffs?

Changed to “Game on”. We’re here without Chair on form. He just starting to get fitness and form. And combined with that we’ve got Dembele back, who looked good earlier in season.

Ok. I think it’s more a difference of opinion that I am right and you are wrong OR you are right and I am wrong.

I don’t believe there is a racial hierarchy in the UK today or Australia when she grew up. She’s using race, being drunk and Sarah Everard to justify her actions. She needs to grow up. Pretty insulting to Sarah Everards family too.

But we will never agree on this so let’s leave it there.

Yes in history there has been racial hierarchies. I said that. But there’s a big difference between living in 19th century US as a black woman or 1940s Germany as a Jewish woman, to an Indian/black woman born in 1990s in Perth and living in the UK in 2025. Like her use of Sarah Everard case, or the fact she was drunk, it’s just her not accepting responsibility for her actions.

Exactly. She’s 31 and about to become a mum. She’s not 15. Take responsibility and admit you did wrong and grow up. It’s no one else’s fault.

Saying both should he equally bad. There shouldn’t be a hierarchy of racism. Having a race hierarchy is what Hitler did. Racism is racism.

Madsen

On JCS and Chair being unavailable I meant that, the clearest signal that our recruitment is working is that arguably our 2 best players from last season have for the most part been missing and yet we sit with 41 points today.

Also, we may be over-relying on stats but I thought to say we “you can’t only look at data” isn’t right. Of course you can’t only look at date but I don’t believe we are or were doing that. But even the stats about Madsen raised alarms…..big lad who isn’t that good in the air and not physical.
I would say it’s just a bad decision rather than our recruitment method isn’t working. Clubs all make bad signings and this looks like being one.

On the experience side, we had experience in the squad and didn’t need more. Cook, Fox, Colback, Dunne. And to some extent Chair!

We’ve got a young CEO and he’s making mistakes (as does everyone) but he’s learning from them in my view.

How do you know it was all data? I think given we’ve had no JCS and no chair for most of season, our recruitment has been decent.

It’s still a good transfer window. We’re 3 points of playoffs. I know you don’t like Nourry though

Oh and you missed extensions for Morgan, Chair, Lloyd and Kolli. And Field last year.

The main issue with Madsen is that we spent the most money on him. However overall, I’d say our transfer dealings have been successful. We’re 3 points of playoffs with Chair being out for most of season and no JCS.

Direction of our squad
at 10:31 4 Feb 2025

I’m pretty happy with the squad and the way we are recruiting. I’d like us to get Jimmy tied down to a 3-4 year deal though.

Of our best 11 last season, 3 have left (Begovic, Willock and Dykes/Amstrong), 2 out injured pretty much all season (colback and jcs) and 1 injured & out of form (Chair). I think to sit 14th is good achievement given all those changes. And especially to have done all that without Chair and JCS is remarkable, given their performances last season.

Dunne off?

No one knows what’s happened behind scenes. Did we offer him a contract? Did he delay signing? No one knows. It’s pure guess work. Personally I think we offered him a deal and he delayed due to the window.

Seems reasonable. Can understand why both player and club won’t budge.

Our accounting period is to April (not December), in line with tax year.

Around that time extensions for Kolli, Morgan and Lloyd wouldn’t have been right either. Must have started in December.

If the club had already offered him a deal or were willing to offer him one, why would they want to delay him signing it given we had this January windows coming up. Given the extensions we’ve already had, I would be amazed that if they wanted to keep him, they wouldn’t have included him in this round of contract extensions. What were they waiting for? The only party that a delay makes sense for is Dunne. And to be clear, I don’t blame him for that.

Sun sets on QPR’s winning run as Rohl triumphs once more – Report

Before the subs, I didn’t think they looked dangerous apart from set pieces. However, they were the subs I would have made too. Although looking back on it, Field did look the most tired of the 3 midfielders. I also think while he gets criticised for forward passing, Varane is huge loss defensively when he’s not there.

Marti's remarks on the ref
at 13:25 26 Jan 2025

Challenge on Smyth was clear yellow and then the player who just pushed Nardi over for no reason….clear yellow. My son said Chair got thrown to floor at kick off in 2nd half and that’s why he then did that challenge? In close game, these decisions change the game.
