No - it's all included in the £2. It will be a mini tour rather than the full tour that usually costs £7.50. I have been told that the guide will be the same tour guide that usually gives the full tours. |

I don't think he's been to Loftus Road since the pandemic. He's ok - he's put in a few appearances at the Rock n Roll Public Library. It's well worth a visit - it's been extended until 7pm on Saturday 22 March. |

The QPR History Day is this coming Saturday starting at 10.30am - not Sunday Mick Perrin produced the programme booklet in 1987. He planned to do an update and also one for away matches but they didn't happen due to him having a young family at the time. Here's Nick Guoth's online equivalent https://qpr-prog.co.uk/ |

Just over 2 weeks to go to the first QPR History Day and Memorabilia Fair on Saturday 22 March in the Forever Rs bar. Doors open at 10.30am. Two new books will be launched - Francis Peacock's much awaited book on the Terry Venables era and the club's book on Loftus Road "Our Stadium Our Home". There will also be mini stadium tours and a Subbuteo tournament so please put the date in your diaries. It's the international break weekend. I am delighted to say that Michael Wale will be joining us to draw the winning raffle tickets. Prizes include signed photos of Stan Bowles, Rodney Marsh and Phil Parkes. There will be nine memorabilia dealers joining us plus seven book authors with their books, including Rangers fan Mark Adolph and his book "Growing up with Subbuteo". Mark is Peter Adolph's son - the inventor of Subbuteo. Four fans will also be selling programmes, shirts, handbooks, stickers and cards. Profits from the day will go to Extra Time, the Community Trust's initiative started in 2009 designed to help to get local residents aged over 65 together. |

The answer to your question is that there's team of club employees, a couple of fans and Andy Sinton as the chair that all work on Forever Rs inductions. More background here; https://www.qpr.co.uk/club/forever-rs Players need to have retired from playing, so Adel will be inducted once he hangs up his boots. There's also a rough guideline for players to ideally have made at least 50 first team appearances. Some of the current more obvious omissions include Dave Webb, Gary Bannister and Roy Wegerle. It's not through want of effort that they haven't been inducted yet. As the old saying goes "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink". There's always a good reason with these things. For example it took a long time for Frank McLintock to be inducted - that was due to his wife's ill health. The posthumous inductions can be very complex. Ideally there needs to be at least one living relative. So if anyone knows of a relative of Alec Farmer that would be a great choice for a posthumous induction. The same goes for George Goddard, Tommy Cheetham, Conway Smith, John Bowman etc. They would all make very worthy posthumous inductions. The families of Reg Allen, Des Farrow and Billy McEwan had a wonderful day in 2023 - as did the families of Billy Barnes, Arthur Longbottom and Alf Ridyard in 2024. Like everything in life Forever Rs isn't perfect, but a huge amount of effort goes into it and it means a lot to players, their families and a great many Rangers fans. Constructive feedback and suggestions are always welcomed. [Post edited 28 Feb 12:11]

Me too - let's hope that Rapid Ranger and the Rs and Bush history photos don't disappear. On 14th August it's 130 years since the C&S opened. A Fuller's pub then and a Fuller's pub now. Intriguingly the pub had been built in 1878 but it took 17 years and 16 attempts to obtain a license. On 24th April 1976 the Rangers players pulled pints in the pub for fans after the Leeds United home match that saw the club finish top of the First Division. This was repeated 6 years later after the Rs drew 1.1 with Spurs in the FA Cup final on 22nd May 1982. As featured in the classic BBC TV series "The Boys from the Bush". A classic Rangers boozer! |

Hi all - I know there are a few collectors of Rs programmes and other memorabilia here. Rangers will be holding the first collectors fair at the club since 1986 in the Forever Rs bar in the Lower Loft on Sunday 21 April starting at 10.30 and finishing at 2. It's the day after the Preston North End home match. Michael Wale has agreed to draw the raffle prize. Everyone will get a raffle ticket on admission as part of their entry for £1. Profits will go to the Forever Rs - the former players, managers and coaches association. 10 dealers are lined up so far plus Rangers book authors Ray Eaton and Francis Peacock. It should be a good day - a chance to fill a few gaps in collections as well as to meet other fans and collectors. Do please bring cash with you for your purchases. [Post edited 9 Mar 2024 10:05]
