Depends how you use it I think. If you're saying "we had the most possession we deserved to win" then that's idiotic. But it's a fairly harmless and high level way of saying that the other team had most of the ball. And that's fine. Now you start combining it with shots on goal as you say and you can start to create the story - we had all the ball but weren't able to do anything with it, should still be considered a "bad" outcome, which is what you're correctly suggesting. |

I get it. It's not "diving" it's "looking for contact". One is outright cheating the other there's technically nothing wrong with it, I think I'm just a bit sad that it's a part of the game now |

Honestly my impression of that was it was just a series of Smyth throwing himself to the ground looking for a free kick, not getting it, then getting up and doing the same again.
I actually like Smyth as a player I think he adds a lot of value, but when your best skill is "winning a free kick" and the ref isnt buying what you're selling, maybe this isn't the game for you |

Smyth was throwing himself to the ground all game and the ref had done his homework on him. It may have been a penalty but he was absolutely looking for it and there was a bit of boy who cried wolf about the decision. |

There's clearly too much money in football. But it's there and it's not going away so honestly I'd rather it goes in the pockets of the players than the owners. The players arent the ones who are charging obscene amounts to attend games and they aren't doing anything different to what any of us would do in the same situation if we're honest |

Kupp was definitely short. But I think McVay did the math on whether he wanted to burn a timeout and then give Seahawks a chance to go for it on 4th and 1 (if they get that it's game over) or trust his defence to get a stop on the next set of downs and get a chance to go for the win |

Cant look past the Seahawks in the big game. Pats have got the job done and thats frankly astonishing given where they were coming into the year but certainly haven't looked as impressive in the post season |

I don't think he takes all the blame for any of them but I think all of them were saveable, whether you want to say thats with a bit more luck or with a bit better keeper is up to you.
Gets best at his near post for the first, a tough shot but the saying is always a keeper should never get beat at his near post for a reason.
Also made a couple of excellent stops and deserves the credit for those |
