I thought the ref had a decent game |

This is how I feel too. I know everyone pays their money, and can express their opinions how they want, but these days most players don't have loyalty to a club and it's unrealistic to expect them to. I know there are exceptions but for the vast majority it's a job, and a. short career, so they can't be blamed for wanting to maximise their income whilst playing. Armstrong certainly doesn't seem to have pushed on since leaving us (nor does Chris Willock for that matter) and whilst he wasn't that good, I always felt he gave his best when turning out for us. Can't really ask for more than that |

Decent performance against a good side. I thought the draw was fair enough even though we could've sneaked it at the end with that Kolli effort. Both goals were very good and actually thought everyone put in a decent shift. Noone had a shocker. Midfield looked decent, defence very solid. Thought Jimmy had a very good game. So much better than the slop served up against Cardiff. Not sure why some felt Armstrong needed to be boo'ed but each to their own I guess |

That’s superb. Very clever and very funny Imagine if you were not a QPR fan and stumbled across this expecting some sort of football match preview. You’d be completely dumbfounded. Which makes it even better! Brilliant |
 | Forum Reply | Have we ever had a better loan than Ronnie Edwards? at 14:35 10 Apr 2025
Good thread. Agree that Ronnie has been immense on pretty much every level. A couple from further back that warrant a mention in my view: Matt Jackson, full back on loan from Everton some time in the 90's. My somewhat unreliable memory tells me he was decent for us. Paul Walsh was one I would have loved to have seen play a bit more or us, but he only made a handful of appearances on loan from Spurs as I recall. Loic Remy anyone? If only for that goal against Wigan |
 | Forum Reply | QPR’s crawl to conclusion continues with Cardiff bore-draw – Report at 16:44 7 Apr 2025
yeah that was a tough one to witness. Sitting in the Lower Loft we did at least have the benefit of feeling nice and warm in the sun, as you mention. I'm an eternal optimist by rights, and even though we have no fit players, are on a terrible run of form, and always do QPR things to ourselves, I was reasonably positive about this game. Even at half time, I thought there had been enough hints that we may just do something so I was still thinking we would win. But that second half. Dear me that was poor. I don't know how you find the energy and creativity to come up with this stuff time after time, but you always do and no matter what the result or performance, I always look forward to reading your reports. Thanks for continuing to write such great copy. It makes it a little easier to bear. I've been dragging my now 12 year old daughter along for the last 4 years and generally we love it no matter what. But there was something about this one that makes me wonder - is she starting to doubt my judgement? I think it was the general apathy at the final whistle. I can't remember a reaction quite like that before. I'm dreading the day she tells me she doesn't want to go to games anymore. I fear that day has just come a little closer |

Long shot I know - but if anyone has one and fancies throwing it the way of a sad old man, please do let me know |

presumably you weren't at the Blackburn 0-4 under Ainsworth then. That was my all time low. But I do agree that this one was pretty poor |
 | Forum Reply | Cardiff Reflection at 18:13 5 Apr 2025
agree - thought he did pretty well. Defence as a whole played ok in my view. But creativity wise there's really nothing there. It was a dull game, dull atmosphere, all round dull. But at least the sun was out |

Slash. Certainly not technically the best (so I've been told - although I'm no expert) but he plays with soul maaaaaaaaaan. Been lucky enough to see him liove (solo, GNR, Velvet Revolver, Snakepit etc) on multiple occasions and he never disa[[points |

I think it's more likely that, rightly or wrongly, Cifuentes doesn't want to publicly slag off the players. Hopefully he is doing so behind closed doors but to call them out in front of the TV cameras doesn't tend to work out well for long term harmony. Neil Critchley being an obvious recent example of this |

Great report as always - thanks. It was noticeable to me in the ground at the final whistle how relatively upbeat the mood seemed. Sure, we're all disappointed to lose at home, but compare that with the run at the start of the season and how the atmosphere was after that dreadful run of home results and it's like night and day. Despite the result, an enjoyable afternoon at the football which, after all, is why we go |
