Driving
at 16:48 28 Jan 2026

Yeah . I drive into London everyday from watford.
No problem getting there as I leave at 6 o’clock in the morning.
Not so good on the return home . I’m usually working in the west end so I have various routes home.
West end lane , Finchley Road or some times Kentish Town through to Highgate and then pick up the M1 from there . The powers that be in their wisdom have got major road works on All routes as we speak . F**king madness and rank incompetence on their behalf.
I could go via the west way and passed our gaffe but that’s always been a disaster so no joy there.
On the indicators issue . I indicate even if there’s no one around . Force of habit and I have an EV van .
I’m convinced driving standards have got worse since covid .
Most people don’t seem to give a shit anymore . Sad really .

Four minutes of madness – Report
at 07:10 26 Jan 2026

That one is going to hurt for a long time. Just hope we have mental fortitude to come up with a performance against Coventry.
They were some great performances in there . Vale, Dembele and Madsen in particular.
Honestly thought when just four minutes came up on the board? We had this .
Never assume anything with Rangers.
One thing I would say though is that it was a cracking game of football. Sadly with a Hollywood ending.

Spoke to a one or two and they seemed a friendly bunch .
Let’s not kid ourselves though . They are a made up football club with mountains of money behind them and a 18 million pound grant from the Welsh government.
I get it. it’s good for the area and the money goes round the pyramid but its town has a population of 60 thousand or so . Under normal circumstances it would be flitting between leauge one and two but they will end up as a premier leauge club . Same as another made up football club like Birmingham. Money talks.
We had the chance and blew it but they look they have a more sustainable model.
As for us we are selling out pretty much every week and gaining fans year in year out.
And we’re not even any good .

Agreed . I have a picture from three years ago at the same time of the year and it’s not perfect but miles ahead of what it is now.

Great post . Let’s not forget we were excellent first half .
Dembele and Vale particularly good .
Madsen was outstanding .
Problem is we looked out on our feet after an hour .
I’ve noticed we play so much better into the school
end and then have little left to give playing into the loft end.
Yesterday was a gut punch and hopefully we can spring a surprise on Coventry next week .
However If we hear the chant of “ It’s happening again” from Coventry fans on the half hour mark next week . We’re in trouble.

Wrexham manager Parkinson reckons it was the worst they’ve played on this season and he’s right .
However there ground has the advantage of having plenty of natural light .
Having only three stands probably helps.
I thought it looked better than previous weeks .
Although Putting the sprinklers on was bit baffling as yesterday was the only rain free day we’ve had in weeks. Surely it’s got enough water on it?
Answers on a post card to Monty Don .

He should have seen the pitch last home game. He really would have something to moan about then .

Blowing out our arses on the hour yet again . Shame as it was a great first half .
Walsh got nothing on that corner for their second and sadly we just backed off for that winner and he had a free strike albeit a good one.
On the cusp of play offs on ninety minutes to now looking down the barrel of the leaders next week.
Grim .
Lots of plusses though . Madsen was head and shoulders above everyone in that first half and is turning into some player.

Poor game , not helped by our long injury list and Oxford being rubbish .
Yet to see a game between these two sides thats being anything but awful.
Plus points . Another clean sheet , Joe Walsh and another point closer to the play offs .
Negatives , a blunt attack and Esqerdinahs injury. A shame because he was having a good game .
One other plus point is I have put a certain poster on ignore because he’s making this forum about himself rather than other posters .
The s**t show that followed the Stoke game was embarrassing.

I’m not a true football fan then .

Still , I had a great day with great people who despite the performance were happy with the point.
Obviously they’re not true football fans as well.
If you got any suggestions on how not to waste 30 days of the year following QPR . Let me know.

I was there yesterday. We were average to say the least but I’ve seen games like this were we inevitably end up losing by a couple of goals .
Thought we dug in yesterday with Cook and Dunne particularly good.
Oddly enough I thought we had the two most clear cut chances of the game with Kone and Adamson.
Not overly bothered about what Stoke fans think of us or our football . The best part of Stoke is the road out of it .

Should have beaten Spain .They were outstanding on. the day.
As for Keane . He divided the country. Not sure why , he let his country down .
Pure and simple.
Just my opinion. Everybody had one at the time.

Billy Bingham as Everton manager , labelled us a dirty side .
Norn Iron were hardly shrinking violets under his tutelage.
Lovely piece . A brilliant full back .
