Brentford’s next striker Thiago will probably be off soon . Another 70 million to go with Mbeumo , Watkins and Toney . Light worlds away from us now sadly . And that really hurts. If Kone and Burell kick on next season we could be in the money . Problem is if you concede 70 goals a season it’s kinda of pointless anyway . Renewed two weeks ago .

Northern Ireland was a cracking place to be back in the 70s and 80s . I should know I travelled and played football there back in the day .
No go areas . Car searches at the border with a rifle shoved in my back. Sectarian violence on an enormous scale . Mass unemployment.
Yeah it was wonderful.
I’m an Immigrant to this country married a wonderful English woman and was accepted by and large by the people and live in a multicultural street where everyone looks out for each other .
Just wondering what your thoughts will be in if we sign a new left in pre season?
Not a lot I should imagine.
Thought this thread was about ref getting barred from entering the US not the horrendous attack on that poor man yesterday. |

Haven’t had time to listen to the pod so looking forward to it.
I think of the two strikers , Kone and Burrell . The latter has the better
Chance of making at the highest level . He has pace to burn which sadly Kone doesn’t
. He does however have a heart the size of shepherds bush . Love the guy. |

In the continued and probably foreseeable absence of my lot at world cups . Thought it might be nice to have a thread for my Celtic cousins.
Watched a glorified training match between the Sweaties and Bolivia on the Beeb yesterday.
Thought that Gannon Doak was outstanding last night . Pace to burn .
Pretty sure he tore us a new one whilst playing for Boro here a couple of years ago .
Think they might reach the holy grail of the knockout stages.
One or two may not agree with me but hope they can do it this time. |

Well said .we did work underneath the Holmesdale end which is 30 odd years old but the rest is literally falling to pieces . They do have the advantage of a massive car park which will allow them ample room to build their new stand, something we can’t do .
I’ve got some Palace friends. Delighted for them but even they are a bit embarrassed by their ultras. |

Good luck to palace tonight . Worked at their ground and training ground. Got to know a lot of the staff there . Very decent people.
They have some bell end fans but don’t we all and are an example of what we could have been .
So hoping they do it tonight . If Glastner can engineers a win , it will be a drop the mic moment as he got a lot of grief when he announced his departure. |
