Super Gran gone
at 22:10 15 May 2024

God bless Supergran. A really funny program that I used to watch with my daughter. I bought the box set last year to watch with my granddaughter. She loved it too. Sad news.

Players we should have kept
at 22:09 12 May 2024

Tony Currie. Let go from the youth system around 1966. No problem - signed from Leeds in 1979 for £400K. For me, got to be the biggest howler. Imagine having 3 midfielders coming through at the same time like Currie, Francis and Busby.

Very sad news. Was lucky enough to see Richard with ELO over many years. Great player and a very nice guy.

It's time we shat all these people out of the club and move on. Onwards and upwards with Marti!

A very good player for us. Didn't understand why he was let go. RIP Leighton and thanks for the memories.

I would be astounded if that happened but it is possible.

Armstrong New Contract ?
at 13:37 7 Apr 2024

What Armstrong needs is proper coaching. With the exception of Marti and his assistant the rest of the coaching staff have been here for years and have managed to develop diddly squat. These are the people who need shipping out and we need to get geezers in that know their onions.
Yesterday was down to Marti, I'm afraid. Wrong team, wrong set up. Looked like he was playing for a draw at home against one of the worst teams in the division. It was obvious it needed changing long before half time and he did nothing. Marti's done a great job so far and I'm confident he'll keep us up but yesterday was a bit of a lesson for him. I'm hoping for a bounce-back against Plymouth.

They wouldn't try this crap with anyone else's national flag and there are few, if any as ancient.

Sinclair Armstrong: a bright spot.

No doubt whatsoever that he cost us three points today. Any one of Watford's players would've scored those 2 one on ones. Bloody amateurish.

Outside of QPR or England? Man City relegating ManUre in 1974 when Denis Law scored the backheel.

I would definitely have Luke back and we should've kept Martin and Iron booted Uncs at the end of last season after his goal kept us up.

That's some record from 5th to 5th from bottom in 15 games. I suppose they'll be getting the new manager bounce now. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Our approach to Bournemouth cup tie
at 22:43 1 Jan 2024

Unfortunately too many of our best players seem to have legs of glass. We cant risk losing anyone, really. Even if we had the miracle of beating Bournemouth, how far would we get? Sadly we have to play a weak side that is hopefully well drilled and can suppress them enough not to be embarrassed. This is what it has come to. The Development Squad is Ferdinand's legacy to us and I agree with your prediction.

bbc salaries released
at 21:37 17 Dec 2023

The government should've scrapped the licence fee but they bottled it. The BBC has long since ceased to be an impartial news outlet if it ever was. Unlike the corporate media who will of course promote the given narrative of the day the BBC has the opportunity, responsibility and obligation to be objective. It is not. I used to love it but I now detest it.

Terry Venables RIP
at 14:00 26 Nov 2023

Very sad news. He was one of a kind. When he left for Barca, you just knew that things would never be the same. And they weren't. The memories just roll back. For me, chanting "Terry Venables' Blue and White army" at Highbury in '82 as we reached our first FA Cup Final was fantastic. Halcyon Days indeed. A great player, our greatest manager and a lovely person. Remember how he comforted our players after that Cup Final Replay that we really deserved to win? Or when he comforted Gareth Southgate after that penalty miss in '96? Bottled up his own disappointment to comfort others. That was the kind of man he was. But as someone said: Nobody really dies as long as we remember them in our hearts.

I would've gone with Warnock. Let's hope this is a masterstroke. I think most of us don't know who this is but he seems to have a good record.

It's Warnock...

He is our best hope of survival and I'm convinced that he will save us. At least for this season. He likes to hit the ground running 🏃‍♂️ so I expect at least a point at Rotherham. Oh and sorry, I meant to say " Mature Cheddar"😀
