The sport or not question, I always use slippers as the decider, if you can play a ‘sport’ in slippers then it ain’t a real sport.

It’s mid-May 26, let’s hop into my time travel machine and look back at the last six months and do a good and bad review of the 25/26 season.
Bad…
We should never have employed Will Smith.
We should never have given Tonda Eckert the managers job.
We should never have employed Gary O’Neil.
We should have employed Steve Cooper earlier.
We should have signed a striker and GK in January.
We should have sacked Johannes Spors.
We should have been more organized and protested more loudly against Banana Republic.
Saints could have got to the semi’s if we’d played a full strength side in the quarter finals.

For such a sh1t season finishing sixth wasn’t a bad result.
Keeping Oriol for next year is a bonus.
Leo Scienza deserved the fans player of the year award.
If we can keep the manager and key players then we should push for a play-off spot next year.
Pompey got relegated.

Makes no difference who we might hope or wish for, SR will come up with a complete left-wing bloke who nobody has ever heard of but most importantly will have big ears and will be CHEAP.
Irrespective of who gets the job I would like the new manager to instill some old fashioned shit-housery and passion back into the players. When did we last see some passive aggressive behavior from any of our players, like arguing with the ref, throwing water bottles, winding up the opposition, geeing up the opposition supporters or simple tactical time wasting.
Like the old saying goes ‘we don’t expect you to win but we do expect you to try’. |

What a bunch of pussies we’ve become. You can protest against the owners but you must do it respectfully, you can voice your dissatisfaction with the SR Directors but not too loudly, you can mention how out of his depth the Manager is but only under your breath, you can say that the players aren’t trying but only to your Nan and definitely not during the 90 minutes of play.
So I’ll turn up a 2:00 with my pipe and slippers, plain clothes and tiny squeaky voice so not to offend anybody.
We must be the laughing stock of every fans forum, from every club anywhere in the world. |

I know I keep banging on but why don’t SR consider Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Nearly 500 games as a manager, respected by the players as a former player and a win rate of over 50%, he’s also out of work so his former club won’t be looking for a huge signing fee. But then what the feck do I or any of us know? |
