I know I’m setting myself up for every Ugly to knock me down, but what about a punt on Anthony Martial, he’s a proven experienced striker who’s currently on a free. So why not do a like for like and replace Stewart for Martial?

I agree with much of what you say, however it’s not all the kids fault, much of the blame for our present position lays squarely with the government and employers.
I worked my entire life within the construction industry and as such it was dominated by kids with manual skills learned through perseverance, dogged determination and a fair dollop of natural skill. For the last twenty years my company and no doubt many others adopted a policy of only employing young people with a degree, now I don’t know many brickies, plumbers or carpenters who have a uni degree in anything. As a result the construction industry ended up not employing youngsters, but over-educated people from abroad who couldn’t get a job in their chosen field so chose to retrain at there local college in brickying, plumbing, carpentry etc. Therefore filling the requirement of someone degree educated but with a manual skill.
Giving youngsters new and valuable skills is laudable, but it’s useless unless employers are retrained to accept the kids coming out of college with either an NVQ or it’s current or future equivalent. |

I blame the BBC for stoking up the story, he’s just another conveyor belt politician who’d sell their own mothers if it suited their inflated egos.
Perhaps a member of joe public should declare on camera that ‘He's not the Messiah. He’s just the current fat person winner in a very long fat persons race’. |

I agree with you Pat, the FA will cave into the media and push for a one year ban, I say let the feckers and just employ Tonda behind the scenes as an ‘analyst’ supporting whoever is the de facto boss. |

I see that Maya Yoshida played his final game for Japan yesterday, a purely symbolic friendly against Iceland which the blues won 1-0 and Maya received a guard of honour.
Can’t help thinking he’d make a great ambassador for Saints and as President of Japan PFA, would bring some very useful contacts. |

Even if the FA were to ban Tonda for 12 months, I’d ask Tonda and Adam Lallana to simply switch roles for the year, a win for everyone. |

I think the FA finding is irrelevant, I want him to stay but think the club have already made up their minds.
He will leave on the Friday and start work on Monday with one of the top Italian clubs. |
