are we safe, yes or no....
at 09:34 8 Apr 2025

Just looked at the odds and bookies have us between 20-1 and 25-1.

Do they know something we don't they seem like very long odds to me for a team dropping like stones and playing like QPR

Yes and the standard today was better than last week, better than Swansea away, better than Oxford at home etc etc. People seem surprised that we are not very good, I'm just relieved that we didn't lose, didn't give up lots of chances to the opposition, ran around a bit, put in some tackles, put in some effort and kept the gap to bottom three.

It was pretty ropey football, but right now that is the least of our worries.

For Gods sake, it is no longer 1976 we are a crap second division team at the fag end of a season where our sole aim is to stay up. Going to a game like that expecting to see total football is like putting on channel 5 and expecting Shakespeare. Get real we didn't lose, that'll do for me. If that Smyth shot near the end had gone in and we'd won 1-0 it would have been a perfect football match.

I'm with Logman. In the big picture a draw was better for us than them. It was not a good football match, but not a bad outcome, never really looked like conceding, plenty of shifts put in, much more solid at the back, I'll take that in our position. In the words of a great footballing sage if you want entertainment go to a circus.

Most unpleasant book you’ve ever read?

Blue is the Colour official history of the Chelsea Shirt. Given to me by my son in law as a Christmas present to wind me up. Horrific, upsetting, nasty, makes Cormac McCarthy read like Mary Poppins.

Introduction to the demon drink
at 15:32 21 Mar 2025

Light and bitter known as the dockers's cocktail. All the lairy boys drank that, i prefered light and lager. Always told dont drink mild, they put the slops in it.

can't even taste cider after throwing up at the old cider house on the Harrow Road, a proper rough ouse where the regulars never seem to have any socks on, as if the cider had rotted their hosiery as well as their brains.

Still like a pint of Paulaner when you can get it.

Mark Hughes. The man who blew our big chance, with his chums in the trough. Hate that man with a vengeance.

Don't mean financially, but football wise he needs a change and a challenge.

Don't know about that. lots of reports that Spurs are in again and he wants to leave, career in doldrums, new challenge etc. Actually think it would be mutually beneficial for all concerned now, especially us of course.

Sobbed my eyes out listening to the radio Wolves V Liverpool 1976. Fifteen minutes to go and the league title that we so deserved slipped away from us and I was in our kitchen crying my eyes out aged 17.

Sobbed like a baby when I heard Stanley was gone.

Great film never seen that before.

Disappointed I didn't catch a glimpse of myself but recognised loads of characters from that era. Remember the club shop just like that, and the tea bar at the corner of the Loft.

Nostalgia indeed. I miss Seeing Stan, sad knowing I'll never bump into him on South Africa Road again before a game. We all owe that man a drink.
