Ads on here
at 23:01 21 Dec 2025

Many years ago I was happily using an AdBlock including on this site.

You pointed out that this was not good for the site's revenue, so I duly disabled my ad block for LfW.

Then COVID hit and as I understand it the ad revenues completely tanked. The solution to this (and a very good one) was to set up the Patreon., which I am happy to subscribe to.

I guess what my question is, is how much is the site reliant on ad revenue now. Has that revenue stream recovered after the pandemic?

It pains me to say this, but this victory for Australia is good for cricket; good for test cricket.

I can only hope that the ECB learn the lessons from this disaster.

Money on 5-0 anyone?

It must have been a very restrictive NDA and / or a big settlement seeing how he batted away the question about his departure.

If the journalist Jim White (not the GR-loving Scottish pundit) is involved, then it will be very Man U heavy.

I don’t blame PP on cashing in on his MU past.

As Dave says above, his first book was a deal better than most footballer autobiographies.

Fearsomely in-form Boro too hot for QPR to handle – Report

Spot on as usual.

Not a word of that I’d disagree with.

QPR, lucky to get away with just the -2 goal difference.

Mads on today's defeat

As I said on the match thread. A couple of ball bounces going their way not ours and we could have been looking at a first half of Coventry proportions.

Agree about the offside. Their player was probably not in advance of the ball.

I had a very different perspective for that game but if we hadn’t had the run of the ball, this could’ve been the same as Coventry at half time.

Get your point and I initially thought the same but…………..

Extra day off, easier to manage travel (do they fly to this?) and of course the old school ‘don’t change a winning team’. (1 change, I know.)
