Matos got it wrong against Preston. I’m sure Walta will go on to be a real asset for us, but it was like playing with ten men. The press doesn’t work if you have an attacking player not committing to it. He put it right at half time and I’m sure he learnt from it. We didn’t play badly against Bristol, they were one of the best teams to come down here and one of the very few that’s matched us at home under Matos. Our away form is very different and will stop us challenging the top six. This is very much a ‘win at best’ game. |

Yes and we still took four points from those two games. ‘A draw at best’ is an extremely pessimistic view given our home form and the fact that Stoke are only a point ahead of us |

Yes all of them. You can chuck Leicester in as well. That’s ignoring the fact we only need to finish above two of them to stay up. Yalcouye replaced by Franco doesn’t have the same desperate ring to it as Yalcouye replaced by Ronald. Only you know why you posted that. |

Are we certs to finish above Oxford, West Brom, Blackburn and Pompey? Yes Ronald replaced Eom Franco replaced Yalcouye |

One thing we can probably all agree on is we should have signed a striker on loan in January. Vipotnik is doing less in games now because we’re trying to conserve his energy. When Idah was on the bench he was able to play flat out until he was knackered. Now he pretty much stays in the central channel and we see Franco sprinting past him to pressure the keeper. Not because he doesn’t want to do it, but because Matos is trying to keep him on the pitch as long as possible. Then we get the odd game like yesterday where Cullen starts and we don’t really have a focal point up front. Before people say Bobby Wales, if Matos rates him behind Cullen as a striker, then he’s in the right place at the moment, as long as he’s playing games. Hopefully he’ll come back here Championship ready next season. We should have loaned a striker that Matos would play ahead of Cullen. Re. Cullens header v Preston - if he’s going to score goals like that, he’s going to do it when Vipotnik is in the box worrying defenders. If Cullen is the main striker, it’s much harder for him to find gaps and he gets marked out of crosses like that. |

Both looked penalties for shirt pulls on the replays but I didn’t think either were in real time so I can see why they weren’t given. The Stamenic one and the Vipotnik free kick against the bar were at 3-0 anyway and wouldn’t have made much difference |

That would depend on how we spend the money. We’d have to replace our two most effective players and bring in players who can share the goal burden. It’s not acceptable that Cullen is our second top scorer with 4, we should have a couple of players pushing for 10 by now. I think it’s quite possible with the amount of money we are likely to get though. We won’t be buying £15m players, but a few well scouted £5m players could make a big difference. Walta could be one of them, he has looked way out of his depth so far to me, but the club clearly rate him very highly. Is he going to open up defences and chip in with a decent goal return himself next season? I think we need to chance our arm with another year on loan for Yalcouye. He’s improved a lot, but he’s nowhere near PL level. I’d expect Brighton will either be looking to sell or loan again. If Galbraith is going to go, we need to get him into midfield now. I don’t think playoffs or relegation are going to happen. We need to get him into a position that maximises his value in the summer. |

I don’t go to Wales games regularly at all, but every time I have, I’ve enjoyed the atmosphere. Compare that to twenty years or so ago when you had to be half on your guard all the time. A lot of people there are very much just Wales fans and the vast majority of us that aren’t, from Swansea and Cardiff, realise that we’re there to support our country, not for club feuds. There is still the odd idiot but nothing like it used to be. So no, it’s not personal, but yes it does rankle when an internet fan tells match going fans how to behave at games. You must have the self awareness to see that. You seem to be under the impression we’re all wearing half and half scarves and doing the Ayatollah with them in the canton pubs. It just isn’t like that. |

You don’t know what South Wales derbies are like. You don’t know what Wales games are like. Both are very different to the last time you attended. Anyone who attends games is in a position to educate you. |

It’s not a Swans v Cardiff vibe. It’s about supporting your country. A lot of people there aren’t interested in club football |

This stung us under Williams and Sheehan (although we have more depth this season). Playing our best eleven and dominating for 60/70 minutes, then losing points when the subs come on. Matos uses the same pool of players but seems happier to rotate who starts and who comes on. Also not afraid to make big early changes when it’s not working, like Tuesday |
