I understand people's concerns over the amount of red/yellow cards he's picked up in his career, but everyone seems to be missing the point that these were all picked up in Premiership - you get away with a lot more in the Championship so hopefully it wont be as big a concern. If you look at the three rotating centre backs that helped Cardiff to promotion last season, Connolly, Turner and Hudson, they are all the wrong side of thirty but were magnificent. As fans, we need to get our heads round the fact the Championship is a different kettle of fish altogether.... |

week in week out we see players storm off pitch upset to be substituted. Sometimes you think to yourself 'what a child' etc but at the moment I would give my left arm to see some of that attitude at Rangers. Its truly pathetic and embarrassing to see player after player 'wanting' to be substituted for no good reason. This is where the manager earns his corn. But QPR seem to be the eptome of a club run by 'player power', something we all criticised our neighbours down the road for. A boss is there to sort it out - if someone at my work doesn't pull his weight for no apparant reason, he will have his hook slung. For Derry to have to sit on that bench and watch these pathetic money grabbing individuals do absolutely nothing to earn their corn must be killing him. |

Clive, just a useful betting tip for you and other readers for future reference. ALWAYS back 'No goalscorer' RATHER than 0-0 when you fancy a goalless game. As Own goals don't count in the first goalscorer market, IF the game's only goal/goals is/are own goals, you would still get paid out. They are always the same price. Very unlikely but a useful tip nonetheless.... (btw, I'm worried your negativity is rubbing off on me!!!) - Owen |
