Such a positive way to deal with something so horrendous!!
He has often spoken so well and did so again and clearly overwhelmed too.
Had his own struggles growing up and saying that boxing saved him, which have heard from a few.
But his foundation is his greatest achievement and an unbelievable legacy for his son.

Nicely told story
Can understand the focus on work to stop the feelings of grief for a time.
Having alternate focusses during tough times is the key.
Jimmy sounds like he has come from a very decent family and has himself become a very decent human being.
Great that he considers QPR his football home. One of my favourite players too. He always gives it his best.
Hope football provides solace for him during these tough days for him and his family members.

How horrendous.
That's something that sadly is almost impossible to recover from.
Poor family and poor Matt.
Seemed a decent man when with ourselves and a half decent footballer too but this will be always there.
Sometimes life is truly horrible.
Hope all the family can support each other. |

Well a sense of irony and off hand humour, proves that a lot of QPR fans have a serious humour bypass issue. Hardly surprising to me if you see the anger some games cause a few people.

Marti's stock has been dented a little with the start to the season, we have had, but with both Wolves and Southampton recently sacking their managers, would a relegation threatened club take a punt on Marti.
To be fair, I think a lot of reading between the lines, is included in a great deal of managerial appointments.
I think someone with the profile of a Cifuentes type manager, would be a better bet than a Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard profile.
You can only work with the tools you have at your disposal and Cifuentes has done well considering.
Appreciate it's almost certainly not going to happen, but there have definitely been much worse appointments in the premier league in recent years.

Wow !!
What a run of games.
Of the top nine teams currently only Manchester City not to be played.
Could very easily get very low single figures out of that future fixture list. Or even a big fat zero.
Be hard for them to recruit a new manager with those games coming up. [Post edited 16 Dec 8:09]

Crackerjack of a goal.
Was expecting Smyth to miss but he caught it perfectly.
Was 65th minute and our very first goal attempt of the game.
We were in the ascendancy in the game after and could have sneaked all three near the end.

He is playing out of position, yet the manager still had him today above our only left back in Paal and a utility left back in Fox.
I think he will be a decent player and he has not shirked from playing in an alien position.
As couple of others said, he has created two best chances for Celar.
Give the boy a chance.
We are coping OK defensively. Only two goals conceded in six games. That suggests there are not a lot of problems in defence currently.

He's a good guy with a lot of enthusiasm. Puts himself about and is a nuisance for defenders. Considering he often seems out of control, he still manages to retain possession.
More games will help but the promise is there.
Kolli slightly different player, currently seems to have better finishing capabilites with his head and feet. But gets knocked off the ball easily and loses possession.
But great to have both here and with injuries and lack of form to Celar and Frey, it's been needed. |
