There have been several occasions where the champions started slowly. And seeing as three out of four teams qualify for the knockout stages in most groups, its not so important to be at it, from game one.
I think Argentina lost to Cameroon, the season they got to the final and they lost against Saudi Arabia last time, before going on to win the tournament. Italy drew their three group games once and went on to win the tournament also.
Ok, if it is 0.4% that are transgender, thats actually 280,000 in the UK. That's actually the ones known.
You have got this non binary also, where they refer to themselves in the plural. I am aware of a woman whose daughter has now said she is non binary. It is sadly an issue.
I think personally the rise of the Internet and social media is an out of control jungle, that is especially offering younger vulnerable people options in life, that can be extremely dangerous for their mental health and really are dangerous as options on a way of life. The teacher supporting the child who identified as a cat, actually happened. Appreciate currently that particular ideal is rare, but the fact that it happened in the first place is scary. It was reported widely at the time.
As said, I can't see this ban achieving anything, but just because you dont know anyone in this situation, doesnt mean it isn't a major issue for younger people's mental health.
I do so hope we won't make a few calamitous transfers in.
So many times we have brought in players recently that have flopped dreadfully.
Celar, Madsen (last season), Taylor Richards, Tyler Roberts, Ethan Laird, Andre Dozzell, Obikwu or others that were simply mediocre, Amos, Dembele, Saito, Heverton Santos, Larkeche, Esquerdinha- its a high hit rate of below average success...
I would not have picked Chalaboah, but dont think you can throw the Chelsea thing at him. He chose not to take Cole Palmer.
I personally would not have taken Palmer as he has been bang average this year, but on his day, he has the potential to be top class. If he really had been totally about the devil, then Palmer would be in, and many would have agreed with that.
Remember when this happened was chatting to this woman who was a gym teacher at a secondary school and she said she knew of three children that ended up transitioning to the opposite gender, but couple of years later all wanted to transition back.
Let alone a school teacher scolding two kids who said there was only two genders and also no way could we be cats. The very fact this teacher scolded the two girls basic common sense and protected the other girls right to identity as a cat is MAD.
The teacher then threw at the girls about homophobia, which the girls quite rightly adamantly said they had nothing against this quite rightly and that the teacher was trying to put ideas in their heads that they had not even said.
I know someone who was a married man who transitioned. He had a wife and kids but went female and has randomly now gone lesbian ie his gender changed but his sexual preference didn't. He had the op, but is still an incredibly manly woman with a very deep voice and the figure of your everyday JOSEPH Bloggs....
There is a lot out there today which is so easy for vulnerable people to be manipulated. The social media ban won't hold up. Kids know how to overcome these rules more than most adults - in Australia, a few years after a blanket ban, 80% young kids were still accessing social media platforms.
But beyond social media, outrageous ideas are out there and its almost impossible for parents to manage this.
But the very fact, many of these ideas are pandered to, is incredibly dangerous.
Feel sorry for confused of Shepherds Bush, because many impressionable minds can be filled with such nonsense. If the options weren't there, neither would the problems ensuing, but sadly they are.
I did not want to turn into one of the older boys who would say the world's gone mad, but on some fronts sadly it really really has.
Kier Starmer is not going to sort it with this unworkable plan and I can't see how society pulls back from the beyond of this confusing total nonsense.
I seriously would not wish to be 13 years old growing up with where society stands today.....
AI - Yes many on here are very very anti it and see it as from the devil Himself !!!
It very often guesses in the free versions of its systems.
But for the paid versions it can analyse and assess things quite accurately and dependent on how you prompt it, determines the actual validity of its output.
It still relies on humans using their intuition, but it will become more human in its assessments and have a greater ability to use its own intuitions that become more and more based on human emotions also.
The rate of progress is amazing, dangerous and frightening all at the same time.
When it can turn Queens Park Rangers into Champions League winners, thats the day i completely lose all my faculties, although some may say, that has happened already.
But i personally not totally against people posting it sometimes as added analysis or as a general viewpoint on players etc. People can read it or ignore, if they dont want to read it.
Simple solution.
Anyhow i asked AI to come up with good targets up front and it came up with Katie Price - and i thought thats AI slop - not for me !!!!
Totally agree and actually many of the young ones will work out ways around this, before the supposed adults in the room can understand how they have done this.
In a similar way, I wonder how effective the ban on porn for under 18s has been. Simple use of a VPN negates this and am sure that must be easily known for most. I mean its not as if football clubs have gone after, fans that use VPN's to watch live games - likewise social media companies arent likely to do this either....
Its a good sound byte for Starmer - on the week of the "Andy Burnham" by election (co-incidence!!), but extremely unlikely i feel to be achievable in anyways....
I bow to your superior knowledge on this Eastside.
Clearly kits are produced to be sold and in all reality, yes this kit will potentially be bought much more by our younger fans.
To me though its a dreadfully dull kit. The colours are so light you can hardly see them, but we have three very different kits for a reason now.
So we maximise sales.
So do understand but I can't say I like it at all. For me its horrendously bland and suggests that the team wearing them will be a "please sir, after you" kind of mentality.
Weakness personified.
And before Padula has another pop, its just my opinion sir.
Twelve years ago, I must have been on some illegal substance, because I could have sworn the Brazil captain was the reserve goalkeeper for Queens Park Rangers !!
