When you add up 2 week international breaks. These players have had 6 weeks off so far this season. How can they be so gassed all the time. Are we the only club who continually go on about 3 game weeks? Just get on with it boys.

Totally agree. But the Aussies discovered you just need to hang the ball around the off stump and we'll get ourselves out. Doesn't bode well.

If we'd have a little bit of patience and sense we'd be batting on this flat track now building a lead of over 300. Instead it's another 2 day test match.

All very valid points but the ECB need to make some tough decisions. They've basically given up on one day cricket. They've sacrificed 20/20s for the ridiculous hundred competition. So it seems our jewel in the crown is test cricket. But the domestic season will never produce test players. We can't even produce a spinner.

Where's the planning for the future?

I've lived here many years but am English through and through. We're gonna get flogged. Our preparation is abysmal. One hit and giggle against our lions team on a flat pitch. Wood already injured, we don't have a spinner. The list is endless.

This is where I have some sympathy for the manager. All the players have fallen off a cliff. I do wonder if they don't really know what's being asked of them. Too many instructions? How can not one player stand out.
