Dale's forthcoming game against Preston North End will be an all ticket affair, and supporters are advised that tickets are available to be purchased for this game now.

The game will be Dale's first of 2012, and the Bank Holiday match has been made a 1pm kick off. No supporters will be able to attend this match unless they have purchased a ticket for this game in advance.

Normal matchday admission prices will apply, and tickets are now on sale from the main office at Spotland. Normal office hours apply but there are a number of additional late night openings to allow as many supporters as possible to attend this game.

Friday 30th December 9am 8pm
Saturday 31st December 9am 1pm

The deadline for ticket sales will be 1pm on December 31st. The ticket office will not be open on New Years Day, and no tickets will be available on the day of the match.

The game will take place on Monday 2nd January.

All ticket? What a joke.
Can we really afford to do that. Let us be honest. With the form that ourselves and Preston are in we could half the price of tickets and we still wouldn’t fill the ground on a cold, wet, 11.00 o'clock kick off New years game.
My guess is that we have once again allowed the police to dictate to us policy for this game so that they can man the game with minimal presence.
Over the Christmas and new year period, few of us set in concrete what we are doing from day to day. We chill out and do things on the spare of the moment if we are in the mood.
How then, can many people chose to go to a football match if it is all ticket?
Absolutely thoughtless, stupid idea.
