Matt Le Tissier To Play In Saints Legend Side On Saturday At Totton. Friday, 24th May 2024 08:00 The Saints Legends side that is taking on a Simon Says XI at AFC Totton's Snows Stadium's Stadium on Saturday has been announced and it has a few well known names in it, read on for more details. The Simon Says V Saints Legend game kicks off at 1pm on Saturday and is part of a wider family fun day at the stadium. The Saints Legend XI has been revealed and it includes Legend's from all eras. From the early 1980's there is Mark Dennis, perhaps the best left back ever to play for the club, then their is Glenn Cockerill a stalwart of the team from 1985 to 1993/94 season notching up 358 appearances in all competitions. Matt Le Tissier is a legend to those young and old, his name is still whispered in awe by all Saints supporters, even those not born when he made his last appearance for the club and he is arguably the clubs greatest ever player, certainly in the top 5 alongside legends such as Terry Paine, Mick Channon & Ron Davies. James Beattie needs no introduction from the late 1990's to 2004 and is one of those few Southampton players who can say they played in a major cup final for the team. The £5 admission price will be worth it to see just one of those players alone and of course there is a chance to meet them afterwards for a photo or autograph. The squad confirmed so far is as follows ⚽️ Glenn Cockerill Tickets are just £5 with children under 16 being free, this is more than just the game though, it is a day out for all the family, there will be things for the kids to do, a bouncy castle and slide, various stalls, face painting and crafts, food and a bar.
