Solid performance against a lacklustre Arsenal.

Diallo (he is really quick!), Bednarek and JWP joint MOM for me.

Good to see 'Big Fraze' (as per Jack Stephens) back in the frame again.

Adams and Ings just need a bit of sharpening up and we should be back to full steam.

COYR!

With most early ratings giving at least 7/10 why is Shane Long the lowest rated at 6.6, he only had 5 mins plus injury time, but he won the ball held it up and took the sting out of the last few minutes, he didn't put a foot wrong in my opinion, yet some can't be charitable even after a great victory

Solid display by Saints. Dominated first half and dealt with pressure fairly easily in the second. Ref determined to give as much advantage and possession as possible to Arsenal. Saints could have scored at least another with a bit more direct force and finesse though Arsenal did actually defend very well. Similarly a very good defensive display from Saints, especially Bednarek, except perhaps Bertrand who, on occasions, did not seem to want to move back into position to collect the ball that was moving right to left. Time Saints looked for a decent Premiership class back-up left back. Hopefully Vokins will show what he can do on Tuesday. Pleased with, and for, Forster's who made one great save with an outstretched leg and came out well and kicked well. Prowsey almost scored from a corner which he might well have meant. One against Arsenal on Tuesday, and one from a direct free kick, will do nicely.

Disciplined performance with every player putting in a shift with JWP leading the team.
Bednarek looks strong and a leader at the back. Diallo looks like he played in the PL for much longer than he has. Happy for KWP to be the man behind our winning goal against his former North London derby opponents.
With a little luck we' d won 3-0. Could easily have had a penalty against Long and Adams made Leno make a fine save early on after a fine run, beating two players through the right channel before launching a low, hard shot, which Leno saved with his right arm.
Forster wasn' t busy making saves. He made one - and that was a very good one with his left foot when Nkhetia burst through the left channel and got a deflected shot (deflection by Stephens) on target.
Fine performance. We are hard to beat. Bring on Wolves in round 5 and let's hope we progress to the quarter final.

Great win. Played some great stuff early on and really should have been 2 up at the break. Our high press really troubled them and caused all sorts of problems, but we failed to punish them with goals. Arse really only came into it after making their subs, yet despite a few decent chances, never really troubled FF.

I don't know the rules regarding penalties any more. Long got clipped near the end and we have seen those given before, so why didn't VAR pick up on this instead of backing the ref - who had a bit of a mare.

Still, a good win and hopefully we can not only do a 4 day double over the gunners, but also beat Villa next weekend and continue our cup run.
