I think Lukaku might possibly have scored more, but I don't think he'd be creating to chances for others that Bony does and I don't think we have the same enjoyment of watching the sort of hold up play Bony produces. The physical strength he displays at times is phenomenal. I know an ex striker of ours coined the phrase 'beast mode' to describe his own play, but every time I see Bony hold off two defenders until he has options around him, I just think 'beast'. |  |

Two outstanding players who bring something different to the table. Think Lukaku is a better finisher than Wilf, but Lukaku is certainly far easier to defend against. |  |

Given their ages it's likely Lukaku will overtake Wilf but quite frankly I have to praise our board again for having the guts and foresight to splash £12m on Bony as many would not have (including Laudrup who even by November thought Bony was technically a poor player). |  | | |

Bony has done really well for a side that has been having an indifferent season and quite often struggling to get results. Lukaku has being playing for a potential top four side. If Wilf had been playing for them he may have got 30 by now.

Lukaku better in the air? Not even slightly. Not only is Bony superb in attack, he is our best defender at corners & set pieces. I've never seen someone of that build be able to hang in the air as he does.
We just need to hop that Bony keeps it up next year and isn't another, Papas Cisse, Benteke, Demba Ba etc.

Bony s rise to this form has been remarkable. Nothing less. I was truly thinking only yesterday the same thing about Lukaku comparison. Lukaku is a tremendous player and I m not sure there s much between them but Lukaku seems to haver a more accurate shot but the overall play of Bony and team ethic makes him better in that regard for me anyway. | |

I'll take that bet.
Deliriously happy to have Bony but Lukaku obviously has the potential to be very special.
If the choice is having Bony as our player or Lukaku on loan then it's a no-brainer. If we could have Lukaku permanently for the same money we paid for Bony, then he'd probably edge it with his potential, both as a player and future value. |  |
