Agreeing with you again, mate. As a player I have to admit that LS is class. But as a human being, the absolute opposite. Because of that, I'm not so sure that the majority of Swans fans would welcome him with open arms, were he to play for us. We've always seemed to have forged a greater affinity with players who - on face value, admittedly - come across as 'good eggs' (Curtis, Trundle, Bony, etc.) whereas I - for one - would see Suarez as a diving, biting, finger-wagging cheat. That wouldn't sit well with me.

Perch, there's absolutely no doubt that Dalglish has a huge amount of respect among football fans. He was a terrific player, a very successful manager (initially at least) and it's well known how important and active he was in the city after Hillsborough.
That's why the Suarez incident was such a shame. It's partly tarnished that reputation. He could have defended him without appearing to condone racism. If it's any consolation, the Uruguayans are currently making themselves look far worse than Kenny did in supporting the little biter. |  |

I wouldn't expect anything else from FIFA these days, on this occasion though, I bet there were a lot of legal talks about how far they could take it. I think it has been mentioned on here before but I would certainly have put a clause in this ban that he isn't allowed back into football until he is receiving some sort of help with whatever mental issues he has.
