Not our best centre half ever but Mark Monnington was very good and could also score a goal. Dawson wins this one though, streets ahead of any other defender I've seen wearing a Rochdale shirt.

Unlikely as he only scored 34 goals in his career, Burnley 7 (5 league 2 fa cup) Rotherham 3 league Rochdale 17 (12 league 1 fa cup 3 other) Halifax 7 league. Never scored in the league cup!
edit: To confirm the brace of braces in 1999/2000 was the only time he got close
