Just back 18:51 - Aug 29 with 5949 views | ingeminate | What a difference a goal makes! Huddersfield Worked v hard to stop us getting going but lacked quality up top - though scannell had konchesky on toast. Rangers support muted for much of the game and around me there was a growing irritation that Ramsey wasn't changng things up. Draw would have been fair, but the big difference to recent seasons is we have midfielders and wingers who make lung busting runs in to the box and today that made all the difference. Finally Hall was superb, nedum v good too. Makings of a really good partnership there. [Post edited 29 Aug 2015 18:55]

Just back on 19:05 - Aug 29 with 5793 views | ganjR | Thanks for the report. I really like the look of Hall too, think he can grow into a really good CB. Gonna feel a bit sorry for him if/when we sign Angella, but understand why we need another CB. I think it's good how we have midfielders who can get in the action as well. We will probably lose nearly as many as we win this year, but competing to the end and snatching an away win in the dying minutes opp Yorkshire is a great result, was worried about the bench today. If we can offload Fer, Sandro, Traore (remember him?), Diakite :( and Hoilett, keep Austin and Phillips and add Angella, Adomah and a loan striker, we will have done bloody well. If Green goes, add Bentley. Sorry, getting carried away here.
Just back on 19:09 - Aug 29 with 5732 views | GetMeRangers | Thanks for that. Funny, the commentary made it sound as if kionk had a good game and CR has said as much in his post match interview. Pleasing things, for CR: away win, clean sheet and digging in to the end. He wanted to commend the back four particularly today, especially Konk "defend on his own allowing Chery to go forward", but excluding Ned's pirouette on the pitch near the end (that DOughty saved his blushes). We didnt play particularly well as we could have done today. The battle Ned and Hall had "with Wells and Miller will be one of the toughest they will have this season" " We had a game plan which didnt work as well today but they kept plugging at it" " Always telling the wide players to pin the far post and today Chery did what he is supposed to do and scored at the far post from a mishit shot" "you have to be happy with the season so far but tbh the best we played was the Charlton game"
Just back on 19:36 - Aug 29 with 5516 views | qpr1976 | Ned was huge today, Hall was good too, Konchesky's best game so far. But Perch still poor. Too casual by half. Almost as laid back as Boswanka. We were often overrun in midfield. I lost of how many time Doughty gave the ball away & Ali got caught a couple of times. Luongo tried hard, but not his best game. Chery good today. Phillips usual hot & cold for me. Never worth £10m and finally Austin. If I were a scout for a team thinking of spending £15m I would leave well alone. I'll say no more and I want him to stay but he has to be more committed if he does. We were fortunate to win. They were poor up front. Twice I've seen Nahki Wells against us. Nothing special. Ishmail Miller was there best forward !

Fer and Sandro won't go this transfer window, but toilet may and a couple of youngsters. Green will stay and Austin as no clubs wants to give Charlie a medical! Can see Philips going and we should get the fella from middlesboro in ASAP. Could do with another striker if Charlie gets injured.Great to think we are playing as a team, scoring goals, winning matches and now 4th in tne league ....and have Mackie, Fer, Sandro, Tozser and other decent cover for the other places. Ramsey In 😄

Pretty much as I saw it, best game for Konchesky, kept Scannell pretty much under control. Ned and Hall were excellent in defence especially against Miller who I reckon could be a half decent signing to support our attack. Perch is very much the weak link in defence for me. Alè had his poorest game so far this season possibly lacking the greater nouse of Kelvinho alongside him. Chery and Luongo darted everywhere and Chery definitely deserved his goal. Phillips seemed to put in more effort as the game went on and as for Austin, well to be honest we might as well played with 10 men as he really didn't put in a shift, maybe Ramsey should have left him out of this game, but it was good to see him celebrate the goal as enthusiastically as the rest of the team. One final thing. The referee. Must have been one of the most over fussy, pedantic ref I have ever seen and pretty much ruined the first half with fouls given against each side when advantage could have been played.

Strange how differently see games. I thought Charlie struggled with really poor service. First half he showed a touch of class with a flick to put in Phillips down the right then sprinted in to the box. Poor cross and Austin then darted full pelt to cover off left wing and take on defensive responsibilities. granted his body language not great at times, but again borne of frustration had a bit of a ding dong with Faurlin and was annoyed with I think Luongo for needlessly blastng a ball over when Austin was well placed with a bit more fitness. But I don't think he was as bad as is being mad out. Re konchesky maybe I've been a but harsh, first half I felt he definitely struggled, but it's true as game wore on he did better, plus I think I look for his mistakes than I do with other players because I don't rate him.

Just back on 00:00 - Aug 30 with 4404 views | GetMeRangers | It is odd with Charlie. Although not there today, he has had several games this season where he has looked less interested. However, his hold up play and touches have improved. Is he being tasked with being more of a team player Did anyone else feel that Stainrod was a lazy player? maybe it is something to do with being a striker? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Agree 100% DW Regards Austin, I don't think he won a single header, in fact I don't recall him trying to ! I REALLY LIKE HIM, but this season and even the tail end of last season, he's not been the player we know and love. Admittedly, he's got 4 goals so far, but only 1 was classic Charlie - the header v Wolves. Otherwise a pen, a sloppy shot the gk messed up & a goal that went in off Clint's hand ! Konchesky, 1st half, at our end, he did some proper defending. Blocking and harrassing. IMO, his best game so far for us. But in fairness, neither him or Perch are great going forward.

HEY ! That is ridiculous. Austin was out of it today. True. But he isn't going to win every game single handed. But he has been great. So has Phillips.Let's see; Austin is leading goal scorer in the division with 4, plus he has an assist. Phillips have two goals and two assists. That is enough that they deserves a bit of respect. Is that too much to ask?

Just back on 04:24 - Aug 30 with 4062 views | merseyhoop | Went the game today (first time this season), great win with the result ground out, we seemed to lack urgency and creativity. Defence was solid, have to disagree about Konchesky. Only once Scannell I thought (their best player) got the better of him in the first half, even when booked he still marshalled him well - resulting in Scannell getting subbed (of course everyone has a different opinion of the game). First time I have seen Hall and impressed by his performance. The defence was solid. The only concern I had was with Perch, he was average and not comfortable on the ball. Rob Green was barely troubled, but his distribution winds me up. Midfield was average, as mentioned there was lack of creativity. Doughty was good at tracking, hustling but on a number of occasions his distribution was poor. This was the first time I have seen Luongo play, previous highlights of him so far he stood out to me but today the end product was missing - of course apart from the involvement in the all important winning goal. I thought Chery was good and our best attacking outlet - like the look of this player. For our two big players Philips and Austin. Austin fed of scraps with just the one close call in the first half and looked laboured. Philips was average. I love wingers (favourite player ever Dave Thomas) but today he seemed to want an extra touch before getting the ball in the box. I hope these two are still here come Tuesday but my head says Austin will be at Palace and Philips at WBA. I hope Philips stays as I think he owes us a full season, we bought him injured, he had to endure Redcrapp team selections in the prem and selfishly we are a way better team with him. Austin is class and I cannot argue if/when he goes - he deserves a top level of football. In all the performance today was average but we ground out an away win - happy days. Ramsey did not make any substitutions, whether that was down to lack of quality on the bench or the fact we were containing/holding Huddersfield. The atmosphere in the away end was subdued, I have to give the Huddersfield fans next to us a thumbs up as they never shut up all through the game, except of course from the 81st minute when we scored. This included the use of loud speaker and drum, liked their version of anarchy in the UK. U Rsssssssssssss
Just back on 07:21 - Aug 30 with 3920 views | themodfather | our support most games has been imo poor, low expectations and/or the unknown...who's staying/going/coming then there's the ffp...any fine? embargo? ramsey was not anyone's choice but TF...and we rolled with it, he's having a go but we need to get a full back in and tighten up, yes a good clean sheet today but 2 a game before it.... if mccormack is worth £11m and rhodes £18m, we should get the right money for charlie and any other player.
