I thought Clotet too, but not sure who his 'friend' would be unless the Sevilla bloke which seems unlikely. Ayew fits if a) Bielsa was part of the 'conspiracy' and b) Bielsa has any 'friends'. | |

Ridiculous claim by what is an unnamed source, from an anonymous journalist.
Clearly it's nobody in the coaching staff, all of which are either friends of Monk or appointed by Monk. Clotet's also left the club.
Ayew is the only fit to Bielsa, but Ayew's effort can't be questioned and his performances have been the rare highlight in recent weeks. Against Bournemouth he was the only player that offered anything going forward, and had it not been for his impact we'd be in a lot more trouble.
The journos are going to give us stick, they always do when we make managerial decisions and they're going to do it even more so when it involves someone they'd have liked to have been given more time to eventually go on to leave us for England, but we've got to do what's right for the club and Jenkins is the man to do that.
It's certainly not due to being undermined, I think if anything the staff such as the board will have been influenced by their friendship with Monk. |  |

The irony of Monk being done in by the machinations of one of his players though is something even he should appreciate.

My opinion contrary to Monks ego is? Monk will never ever manage at Premier League level ever again. That horrendous run of results along with absolutely dire performances have seen to that? I just cannot see any Premier League chairman being impressed by Mr Zero-Shots-On-Target man?
