Parma back in Serie A 18:37 - May 19 with 2607 viewsonlyrinmoray

As my second team, adopted since the Football Italia days and the Cup winners Cup win at the old Wembley as they reminded me of QPR... (small club punching above their weight) They have incredibly made it back to Serie A after being dumped in Lega D due to financial failings going up after 3 successive promotions. What a club ! Zola ,Buffon ,Crespo Thuram Benarrivo Sensini Cannavaro what players they had

Their captain Lucarelli stayed with them throughout this time hes now 40 ! They won 2-0 against Spezia so got second place whilst Frosinone drew, who are in the play offs

Ive followed them from afar throughout this time, seen them twice in the UK I must arrange to see them at the Tardini Just hope they now do it sensibly and are run properly

There are so many similarities to QPR its scary. BTW Sam Di Carmine is now with Perugia in Serie B and is one of the top scorers

Are Aussie Italians generally descended from bloodlines originating in the south of the peninsular?

Yes, that would be true, including Sicily, especially of the European diaspora of the late '40s/early '50s. They were generally both poor and poorly educated and are still looked down upon by many northern Italians.

Tbf, many have grown very wealthy in the wine, grape and produce industries and beyond. Also, to be candid, the whiff of organised crime still hangs over some, but definitely not all, of those enterprises.
