Not just a financial issue for me. There is a democracy deficit too. Fans have no say about how the game is run.

The thing I never get with those who love the idea of a European Super League or whatever...is they seem to completely fail to grasp the fact that Bayern Munich v Juventus (or whatever) at the end of the season, fighting over 8th place, holds about as much interest to anyone who isn't a fan of those clubs as Yeovil v Swindon would in League Two in a battle for 10th at the end of the season.

And with a Euro Super League...someone has to finish last! The hordes of fans in Asia won't like that, and nor will fans used to being top dogs.

That is, for all the threats of it, I can't see it ever happening. Its in the big clubs interest to keep hoovering up domestic success and only playing each other occasionally in competition.

Also, why the fk are these clubs trying to appease to fans in other countries and continents anyway? There's not many things I'd consider myself a "Little Englander" on, but football is one - its great to have support abroad (love you overseas Hoops ) but if the club tried to change things to suit overseas markets at the expense of core home support (like changing the kit to red say, or naming yourself after an animal...) then I'd wave goodbye.

Juventus changing their strip to black and white halves to appeal to the American market at the beginning of this season was, is, and always will be, an utter disgrace.

Interesting point about clubs not wanting to finish bottom, even if it is a super league. As you say, finishing top in a small pond is much better.

With regards to your other comment...... money, money, money.
Why make £10m profit domestically when you can make £100m globally.
Massive executive bonuses, salaries, dividends etc.
Not that you could spend it all in a lifetime.
