Derby have got big problems. Too many players over 30 while they try to include as many youngsters as they can get away with.
The over 30s are, generally pedestrian. Curtis Davies, Rooney and Forsyth being prime examples.
They are trying to blood youngsters like Knight and Sibley but they are a bit raw.
Then you've got the mid-career players, like Lawrence and Wisdom, that are just drifting. Possibly only there for the money. Big criticism from Rosenior about the attitude at Boro on Wednesday night.
Biggest issue is that they can't score goals. The decision to let Marriot go seemed bizarre at the time. Now it looks suicidal. |  |

Abu Derby have a very old team. With quite a few players aged over 30 and a couple at 35.This does not suit the rigours of the Championship. Twelve games in six weeks isn't going to help. Plus is Rooney capable of taking orders from Maclaren or anyone. |

They very much remind me of us through most of the Flavio era and the early Fernandes era. You can chuck money at it, sign all the players, try and buy your way to success, repeatedly change manager, but you very rarely get anywhere regardless of how good those players and managers are. Even when they had Mount, Wilson and Tomori on loan they still only made the play-offs and were miless off in the final.
