Delivery companies 11:39 - Dec 5 with 5416 viewscolinallcars

Lots of stuff in the papers recently about delivery companies. A little league table published with Anazon top and Hermes rock bottom. This ties in with my experience.
Also, tales of people hanging around the streets looking for parcels left outside doors and making off with them.
Anyone got any stories ?

By the same token so many people order stuff when they know their going to be at work when the delivery is made. Being the pensioner in the road meant I got all the deliveries. Had to stop in the end as I was getting so many.

More bad news about Hermes:

Just stop bloody using them then! As I said in my earlier post these companies only use Hermes because they are cheap and certainly in this instance the old saying 'you get what you pay for' is absolutely true.

Had an email from Hermes this morning stating that a delivery I was due two weeks ago will now not happen as the item is damaged beyond repair. It was a football shirt! No real apology just a voucher to send onto the retailer so that I can get a refund. Total shysters this month are. They pay their delivery drivers 64p a delivery from which the drivers have to cover all their own costs.

I had a delivery from a company using DPD, didn't turn up and using their tracking system see that the van was back at the depopt, I complained but insisted that they should not blame the driver but make sure the planning manager see my complaint, my parcel arrived the next day at exatly the time it should have.
