| Sir Tony Blair on 15:53 - Jan 4 by felixstowe_jack | Probably because Blair honour was given by the queen and not the Hinours committee. The Queen alone gives the Knights of the Garter award. Never let the facts get in the way of an anti Tory bash. |
I’m against the whole system Felix. It stains our country

He and his chancellor also destroyed the UK pension industry by raiding company pension schemes causing most companies to close their final pension salary schemes. This has resulted in millions of people having a lot smaller pension. Brown and Blair's pension raids cost an average of £5 billion a year .

Good point and company pensions have been adversely impacted. That said the following governments under Cameron, May and Johnson have had 11 years to reverse those changes and haven't, in fact in some ways they’ve made things worse. They’ve continued to decrease the lifetime allowance and they’ve also raised the age at which people receive the state pension. The regulation of pension schemes is another issue which should have been addressed, we’ve seen examples where wealthy business have “raided” pension pots or taken huge holidays leaving schemes in deficit. Rampant mismanagement and even criminal conduct. [Post edited 5 Jan 2022 17:18]

| Sir Tony Blair on 15:08 - Jan 5 with 1020 views | Catullus | This is why I am often saying we need a massive change, a new political way, a new political party. because both Labour and Tory have had their chances and both have failed dismally. Tony Blair, there's nothing that can be given that increases his honour, in his own mind he's already the greatest and very good with it. To many of us though, he's a war criminal and deserving of a criminal trial rather than a garter. Petition now closing in on 700k. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news | |

History has shown us many examples of how the "elite " have run their ample carcasses to the trough of greed .The Kinnocks yet another example of socialists in appearance but in semi private the total opposite . As Gandhi once stated " The world has enough for everyone's need, but not enough for everyone's greed "

I am not a Tony Blaire fan by any means, but he’s not the only person with money who’s used the furlough scheme. Plenty of much richer people have used it. We’ve also seen huge multinational companies take advantage of schemes when they didn’t need to. We’ve also seen political parties use it, the Lib Dem’s claimed £170k between 1.4.20 and 30.06.20, during the same period the Conservatives claimed £70k and Labour £9k. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/ https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-
