She also cleared up the mess labour left, closed down dead industries and replaced them with profitable modern industries.
She got the unemployment figures down and also actually managed to to start repaying the National debt.

The over manned state owned industries, which were run for the benefit of the staff and unions, were privatised and all of them offered better service to the public. The much needed modernisation and investment proved a boon for the economy.
Her greatest achievement was actually to make strikes illegal unless union members actually voted to strike.
Remember Scargil call the miners out on strike for over a year without actually asking them.

More Miliband madness?
at 13:11 12 Jan 2026

I see Norway has decided to reopen some of its oil fields as new technology means it can now recover remaining gas and oil at a lower cost.

Meanwhile in the socialist republic that is UK, Ed Miliband has signed a deal to import £10 billion of gas and oil a year.

At the same time labour is committed to closing UK gas and oil fields and not investing in new fields. The North Sea oil and gas industry has laid off 1000 workers a month in the last year.

Madness put 12,000 workers on benefits and import our gas and oil from Norway.

NATO of course was never a threat to Russia. In the 70 odd years since it was formed NATO has never invaded a country unlike Russia who invaded and occupied half of Europe. Hungary, Czechoslavakia and Ukraine to name a few in Europe.
It tried unsuccessful to crush democracy in over ten Europe countries which eventually gained freedom from the Russian bear.

It has of course continued to provide weapons and troops to many despots throughout the Middle East but even Syria eventually managed to kick them out.
Russia continues its war with west with Cyber attacks and their ships damaging undersea cables.

It's opposition are imprisoned or fall our of windows in high rise buildings . The Russian are also happy to assinate opposition who have managed to escape abroad.

It is ironic when Both China and Russia condem the USA at the UN while still occupying Tibet and parts of Ukraine.

The Truth Comes Out on Maccabi Fans Ban

The police should not bow to muslin pressure. Fans should have been allowed to travel.
Appeasing the muslin community should not be the objective of the UK police forces.
Just look at what happened in Bradford, Rochdale etc.

The police's job is to uphold UK law not sharia law.

The UK no longer has sufficient oil refinery capacity to refine our own oil let alone refine imported crude oil. We actually have to export our own crude oil, have it refined and then import it again. The world truly has gone mad.

Yes and unfortunately since the left wing socialist nationalised it and Confiscated the assets of the foriegn oil companies it now produces less than half the oli it use to.

That is why Venezuela is one of the poorest countries pet capital in oputh America instead of being the richest.

The EU parliament is actually subservient to the 28 EU commissioners and two Two EU presidents They are not elected they are appointed. The EU parliament actually does not perform any useful purpose. It cost an absolute fortune which is double what it should be as they move it several times a year between Brussels and Strasburgh

The 13 states of the USA conquered and colonised the other 37 states so I guess that is the definition of an empire even if it is a democratic one.

It would save a lot of money if terrorist murders were just executed just like in the countries they come from.

Good to see the WRU owned Cardiff team beaten by the Ospreys. Still expect to see the WRU keep the two teams in the east going ( the WRU have owned them both) while one if the two teams in the west will be axed. This despite them being the best supported and most successful of the regions.

Correct only about 25% of immigrants actually work, with the % of illegal immigrants working even smaller.

They are happy to live of our tax free generous benefits paid for by hard working people.

Iran is falling to pro democracy protestors
at 08:27 2 Jan 2026

Better than Russian properganda.

After fours year of Russia deliberately targeting civilians with over 50,000 casualties and 13000 deaths putin starts complaining about an attack on his house despite no evidence of damage or even any of the 100s of drones he claims his air defence shot down.

An estimated 250,000 to 350,000 Russian soldiers have died in the four years of the war.

The war has actually lasted longer than it took the Russians to capture Berlin after the German invasion in 1941.

Charge anyone who turns up at A&E £50.
If the staff decide it is minor keep hold of it. Only refund it those who are Genuine Accident and Emergency cases.

£50 million a Year extra for the NHS. Watch the queues disappear.

The league of Wales in comparison had a total attendance of 3000 for their boxing day fixtures.
