Who does he replace though? Need to play with a striker as false 9 didn't work and we were probably at our best when Chair and Wilock are both on the pitch. So that probably means either Field or Stefan. Thought we looked better when Stefan went and played a deeper role

Johansen needs to play deep with Field. I just find it bizarre watching him trying to close down defenders and the opposition goalkeeper. That’s not his game. He should be dictating play from deep as he just doesn’t have the pace or stamina to chase players around the pitch.

I would agree with this as really noticeable how he changed the game at Bournemouth when he dropped deeper and started dictating play from deep.....

But.....this does leave us short of 'legs' in midfield and I think only works if Dykes is running hard up front and closing down space....without Dykes imo you risk opposition Centre Backs and CDM's moving too easily through the middle and out-numbering Field and Johansen who is slow to close down space.
