Boris boasting about his getting us out. Why did the valleys vote to leave so strongly when the Tories wanted it more than Labour. If they voted to leave, they should have voted for Boris.

Why did people in the valleys vote to leave , the biggest mystery since the Marie Celeste when you consider the funding they had from the EU I remember seeing an interview with a woman in the street in the valleys , when a reporter informed her the local leisure centre had been funded by the EU she simply replied , but I don't use the leisure centre

Many are brainwashed Ken. Most Labour voters, brought up from the mother's breast on class war and hate. Brexit was never a party political issue, although when times are tough *cough austerity cough* is easier to appeal to the right leaning ‘I’m alright Jack’ brigade. People needed a bogey man, someone to blame, et voila - The EU and foreigners. Perfect. The biggest mystery is those that didn’t/can’t see through Johnson. He’s an opportunist who saw the Brexit bandwagon as a route to power. He’s not a Brexiteer but he accepted Cameron’s bet and he won. The fact that half the voting population fell for it will be a cause of shame for this country for many generations to come. If you are one of these people your children, your children’s children, and their children, will never thank you for the opportunities that you have robbed them of.

Hey Felix….. on 13:30 - Jul 24 with 2970 views | felixstowe_jack | Just another example of the anti British French when only six French officials turn up to man the passport booths. It is a bit like the chaos at the champions League final in Paris when tye French blamed the Liverpool fans. They have of caused now apologised. Perhaps the UK should abandoned the agreement with France to pass through immigration at departure ports and Eurostar terminal and let the French do it when tourist arrive just like all the other EU countries do for airport arrivals.

No even when we were in the EU all visitors to the EU on departure from UK airports had to present passports and they also had to show them on arrival to the immigration officials. The only difference now is they stamp them instead of just looking at them and handing them back. French immigration checks were done at St Pancras before boarding the Eurostar and also at Folkestone terminal. This was as a result of a bilateral agree between France and the UK and had nothing to do with the EU. Strange how there are no delays at other UK ports and ferry terminal to other EU countries like Harwich, Felixstowe, Fishguard, Holyhead, Stranraer, Hull. Even the Other South Coast ports with ferries to Normany etc don't seem to be having a problem. Makes you why?

Its not strange at all, Dover is the busiest port by a considerable margin and the infrastructure isn’t good enough. Dover Ports request for £33m to find infrastructure improvements was dismissed by the government in 2020. The reason UK border control went to the French side of the channel was to reduce the number of immigrants claiming asylum in the UK, bringing border controls back to the UK can be fine but it will be at a cost and that will be increased asylum claims. This government has failed to prepare adequately, the article from Kent and the quote from a Port official sums it up “We've been trying to engage the UK Government in this looming risk for a good couple of years now. They have become more interested in the last two or three months.” Suggests the port’s been knocking its head against a wall. Things will get worse when the biometric requirements kick in. https://www.kentonline.co.uk/dover/news/amp/holidaymakers-set-to-be-hit-with-maj

Mogg is a perfect paradigm for tiff xenophobia. The type who have enough old money wealth to cover any scenario. Cameron viciously called that referendum to shut up the sabre rattlers . He didn’t think we were stupid enough to vote leave. He massively misjudged us. I saw racism in purest form during campaign and it was sickening ,narrow minded crepe . Yet,Wales voted massively to leave

Not massively at all. About 82,000 in it ….so you just need half of those voters to change their minds. So roughly 40,000 needed to vote the other way, so about the size off llanelli. Unless you think Llanelli is massive ? Thats under 2% of the welsh electorate.
