Well, Beale has just come out and been very ballsy about it being 2 yards offside, calling out the Lino directly. He may be a rookie manager but no way does he do that unless he’s very sure. And given he’s seen it and the club have more angles than us, I’m pretty confident it was offside. Looks like a duck. Quacks like a duck. It’s offside.

Throughout football history there's been countless managers who've been wrong and strong on such matters, despite having access to all the angles. Just because Mick's calling it, it doesn't make it so.

Surely when Jordan Hugill “Hugilled” it over the bar in front of an empty goal from about a yard out a few years ago has to be worse. I think Dykes’ miss may have looked worse because it seemed to happen in slow motion.
It was great the way the crowd got behind Dykes afterwards but I’m not sure if they’d have done the same thing if it had been 0-0 at the time!
