It's not a general behaviour issue it's related to him wanting to move to one of the better placed clubs who had put a bid in for him but the club refused to let him go. Not really uncommon to see players behave like that, clubs usually take the money and let the player move on rather than have to deal with a disgruntled and unmotivated player.

He had his head in a different place, it seems to be a common ailment for overpaid footballers who are happy to sign well paid deals and kiss the badge at least until someone offers them more and they bleat about how their current club is holding them to ransom

About right. Cue a photo of Obafemi looking very disgruntled out of an aircraft window...

What do you expect Nick? Players are employees and not fans so why would they not want to move to a better and more highly paid job if they are offered it?

I dont expect it, but if you sign up for a fixed term contract in normal business, then you can't just walk away from it if someone offers you more money and footballers sign fixed term contracts.

in ten years time he is going to look back at what might have been if he had got his head down and worked hard, just like most of the customers who pay his inflated wage.

Well, I say let's get out there and tw@t it!

The world is full of ex professional footballers who realise that a little too late

Really? How many individuals do you know who work on the basis of a fixed term contract where there is no way for either side to exit early?

This is a football forum, I wasn't going to go into details about break clauses or notice periods etc, but the principle is still the same, if you sign a contract for a fixed period then you can't just break it when it suits you and go and work for someone else.

Odd. I've known plenty of contractors who have done just that.

Another w*nker plucked from semi obscurity and then turns into a billy bigbollocks who thinks he's better than he actually is.

Can't really imagine any better placed clubs would be after him really, lower half Championship club is about his level (Imo), Isn't it?

How many Jobs are there where employees’ names are chanted by adoring “customers”.
