Well what a difference when Jamal Lowe came on, totally changed the dynamics and Tyler Roberts looked a different player with him on and they worked it well together. NC should have left Roberts on, as he was up for it, whereas Taylor Richards is just not up to it for me.

For the Swansea game think we need to see Lowe and Roberts start with Willock to the bench and see if they can build on the Reading 2nd half display. Interesting to see if Roberts can respond as his home displays so far have lacked conviction, but if Lowe is the catalyst that would be great. It's a shame we have to rely on loanees rather than our own at the moment, but if that is what we have to do to get us going again, then so be it.

I agree with those 3 starting on attack against Swansea.
Lowe up against his former club and hopefully will score and have another assist.

Lowe gave us other options when he was introduced. I would like to know why he was not in the starting line up......I can only presume that NC wanted to give the players another chance after the debacle at Fleetwood last week & not single out any individuals - wrong imho.

Roberts also gives us other options, looks like he could work harder but a better technical player than many in the Team, I would play him and leave Dykes on the bench.

Amazing the difference some pace makes. Just cannot believe how we have allowed the team to become so one-paced since Bright left. Keep signing fast players!

Agree, we need some pace to stretch the game.

Also, I noticed a tactics change, or it was there before, but Lowe made it work better, which was the ball over the top and getting players to run onto it. This is how we scored the first goal, which goes against what Ince said of his team dropping too deep. Actually, Reading is rubbish, and if was not for Charity Park Rangers in the 1st half, they would have been well beaten even without the sub changes.

2nd half when Lowe came on by putting balls in behind their defence for runners, even if they were not good ones, it allowed Chair and others to have space in the middle. This space means they can have that little more time to put quality balls in which led to the 2nd goal. Lowe made those runs to enable that, Willock was not making as many (he did make some) and wanted the ball to feet more often than running onto it. This means Reading can get the time to run back and stack players behind, even Carroll was running back, which shocked me. Luckily Shane Long could not be bothered.

I suspect the same starting 11 against Swansea with tweaks for Willock and Tim, who did not play well. Lowe is not fully fit, and we don't want him injured early on. Hopefully, JoJo is back on the bench for Swansea. And being subbed in this game will motivate Willock to do another worldie performance.

I am looking for a strong win against Swansea as, hopefully, NC has learned lessons from that game.

When he's in the mood, Roberts reminds me of Magua in The Last of the Mohicans
