Omg how sad for Phil and all his family and friends.
I fondly remember Phil taking a select one or two of us apprentices from West Ham on our day off to help him with his building business that he had way back then.
An absolute gentleman who really looked after us and all around him. Still to this day such a wonderful human being.
My sincere condolences to all of the family and friends.

A reminder if needed that it’s such a fragile life we live and despite all our differences please be kind to one another.

Very sad to hear that.
I was lucky enough to have a good chat with Phil Parkes many years ago at the launch of Ron Norris's excellent book "Loftus Road Legends." Phil is a lovely chap who was very happy to talk football for ages with a nobody like me.
